My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

I just set audacity to record the stereo mix.
Trying to get on MTV is like trying to be employee of the month at McDonald's.

so are you looking for stream ripping software or a program to record the mix?

I use downloadhelper to save anything off Youtube or vimeo or whatever it may be.
ToxicBass has answered the recording side.
Or use Wavosaur, Sound Forge, Wavelab, etc.

It could be as easy as setting your record option to Stereo Mix but it's pretty likely, that's not gonna work. A lot of drivers don't allow that these days for whatever reason.

'total recorder' is a great little free record anything coming out of your computer now or later piece of software, probably a bit quicker on the fly than dedicated music software progs, you can save to a lot of different file types as well, use it all the time.
