Jacques Greene appreciation

Post by say_whut » Sat Jul 16, 2011 11:52 am

I think Mr. Greene deserves some appreciation around here. Whether you're new to his productions or not, I think a thread were we can share and discuss his tunes would benefit us all :h:

I got into his music roughly a year ago, loved "The Look" and have since anticipated everything since. His remix of Radiohead's Lotus Flower is an instant favourite

I've always had a "thing" for Cassie, so this remix is a match made in Heaven :U:

As far as house music goes, there's not many producers I listen to as much/regularly as Jacques Greene. He blends funky R&B that you can dance to with warm textures you can simply chill out to.

Much love :Q:

Jacques Greene is a top dude.

Think the Night Slugs sampler with Baby (I Don't Know What You Want) is one of my most played pieces in the grand stage that is my bedroom. Such an infectious track.

The Cassie remix is huge too, still holding onto hope of a sneaky white label, backed with the Katy B - Broken Record remix. Make it happen!

As soon as I heard a little snippet of the Radiohead remix, I bagged it.

his latest EP was pretty "meh" for me, but the two before that--as well as all his remix work--are excellent stuff.

I've been listening to his Rinse mix regularly for the past year. Not often you get a great producer and DJ in one.
