what i like the most about this show is the suspenseful pacing which gives it a feel like Tarantino, Coen brothers,or even Twin Peaks . Like that episode "grilled" in the second season. The minimalism and careful cinematography reminds me of a more refined, patient age of filmmaking, in stark contrast to the mile-a-minute melodrama most TV/movies are comprised of today.

I thought I'd be sitting there the whole time thinking "its the Dad from Malcolm In The Middle" but about half an episode in I was fucking hooked. Sick show!

havent seenm it yet, have to catch up
are they building up more drama or is jesse just on the grey line again
i have a feeling jesse is gonna be downfall of thw whole thing either gus will use him against walt or he will go back to his old way and walt will take him out and lead himself down a self destructive path
the writing on this show is so damn amazing and makes you care for all the characters even the ones who are dispicable like skyler as real people
i just hope this how ends on a high note (if that can be said) like the shield did
it truly has refined what tv be it on normal cable or not and the cinematographer and atmosphere to it, christ
cranyston and most of the other actors deserve so much credit along with vince gilligan
i sound like i'm jerking this show off, but it deserves it so much
it's an intelligent show with proper pacing, believable characters, great ly shot and covers a real issue in the world to an extent
for those who can't get past a couple eps due to pacing, try to continue and you will be hooked
the character development alone is amazing

Yeah ep was slightly disapointing, never a good look when (i assume) older writers try and do 'young people' scenes like the party or whatever. in fact one of the strongest thing about breaking bad is that all the cast are slightly older, don't see that much on TV.

Still some good bits like [mild spoilers] Gus phoning Walt and the beatdown at the end

Actually yeah, this. It's not like they're going to get someone as scary as Gus, anyway. Might as well end it with him.

Cranston is brilliant, I'm still on season 1, re-watched episode 5 because I hadn't had the chance to get further. Shit was mad emotional, Walt's speech on how he would be remembered if he chose to get treatment had a brother welling up. Real talk.

the creators already said that walt is gonna go the scarface route, it's all the in between that is gonna be great
i see mike siding with walt and jessie especially after his reaction of pulling the gun when gus went nuts on his own guy
i'd love to see more saul too, especially since it seems like skyler is schooling his ass and would make for a nice dynamic

yeh this ep wasn't as church as some

bit disappointing

some quality bits in it tho

its different watchin in weekly instalments though, to plowing through something, lacks the pace you pick up when you watch a few b2b

didn't enjoy the party scenes, the style was kinda cliche'd

Skylar looked fine this week tho

Yeah and a few posts before that, put spoilers in white font or something so people can still look at this thread.

Not even sure I'll keep watching it though to be honest.

aight popping it on will come back withj feelings on it
they tend to do filler eps that ad development to chars which i hope this is
though they are always beautifully shot cinematography wise and despite even if filler create char dev and tension

i had the boxucteer eo ruined by me as a site sited the whole synopsis from a preview of it and published it before the ep aired, ws non the more shocking bits though
the writers and directors have stated in interviews have statedfelusiions to scarface path and how walt is going down a dark rood , and imo is not a spoiler.
it's the rest of his fam chars like jessie gus mike saul etc that are gonna make it non predictable
i think personally gus proved what type a man he is and the demeanor jesse exhibited is something walt is gonna have to learn with
the wholesaul skyler dynamic is another
along with mike choosing a side
this series has such great writing acting and cinematography and the unpredictable parts of it ie: walt going on a limb killing those dealers shows how the show is unpredictable
ffs one of themost overlookedeps was the fly in the lab and walt onsessing killing it. jessie drugged him and walt pretty much admitted killing jane, but not in a way he understood
this showis deep as ehlll and i love it
besides rambling on gonna watch 4.02 now and come back

ok i don't think ep of season 4 as bad at all it think i ir highlighted jessies problems and why he needs to break ties with his "buds", aslo how oblivious skyler depite helping her fucked up boss is to mone amdher ingenious with scams money laundering is not her fortaey laundering
i thnk it showed a lot of char development that will end up with oblems like jessie stealling bits of meth to sell
i have a feeling gusand awltwill endup understanding and someone how walts family will be ended up as colatrataral to cook, hank will be invoved, and walt can only protect jessie to a point, and when he cant protect him if he dies shit will godown

4.02 was a greatep imo
