Sample Library

Post by poundcake42 » Fri Jul 22, 2011 2:32 am

So I know how I will be organizing my samples (snares, kicks, hihats, vocals, etc, etc). However, might you folks have any tips as to the method to renaming the samples? Like I have a bunch of samples with mostly coded names ( ekitsd007, rft-007bd) that sort of thing. How do some of you organize the naming? Obviously naming things Snare1, Snare2, Snare## isn't very useful if one is looking for a certain sound of snare.

Do you also have subfolders for the samples say Samples\Snares\Dark-Light-Snappy-Hissy, that sort of thing?
