Ok, scenario;
You can travel the world full time, playing new music that you love, to people who are appreciative. You will be paid a lot of money for this, and your best mates (who are in the same line of work as you) get to do likewise.
The trade off is that occasionally you make a 'pop' song that people on the Internet will slate.
Do you take the deal?

i dont get P money sometimes, he is undeniably sick, but why does he chose to spit over such poor dubstep tracks, hes vocalled sweet shop and bass cannon, surely he must know some of the biggest producers in the scene, why does he spit over such shit tracks?
I think the clue is probably in his name...

lol the trade off is that you completely abandon your original fanbase and adopt one with no real love for the music you're putting out, just an interest in a trend.
and you have to change your flow to sound more like tempa t.

Or, you can do all of that without the pop song part, possibly make less short term ££ from pop music but build a loyal and long term fan base.
I was at a night 'Sash! (remember 'Encore Une Fois'?!) was playing at and got on stage like the knobhead I am and told him to stop playing crap and come with us to see Jeff Mills at another club....Jeff Mills still making the music he loves, traveling the world and making ££, havent heard from Sash! for years.

Fair enough. But we have to play our part in telling them it's shit. @Skream##### (that works right?) I want you to know your track is awful and I don't like you anymore.

theres very little wrong with this tune tbh its not meant to be a deep dark tune for fwd
its certainly well produced and except for the intro bit its decent tbh...i dont know wtf you people are on to get so worked up about this
and as for skream and bengas new stuff being shit it really isnt...some tunes arent my thing but fatty drummer and exothermic reaction are ridiculously huge tunes from skream
new benga im not such a huge fan of but the united kingdom giveaway was sick...
and artwork just deserves some props and to be part of something given his huge importance to the sound we all know and love
this isnt the stuff to be hating the stuff to be hating is shit like borgore and doctor p...you guys are unrealistic...the magnetic man album is meant to be commercial but tbh id much rather listen to it than listen to chase and status

it's not the production (which is technically good but let's face it: the sound design, which is what most of us mean by production in this context, is just lazy) but the writing that puts people off. the melodies are so uninspired and generic that it actually makes me angry. it reminds me of the hours i've spent uninspiredly toying around with my midi keyboard trying desperately to make up a melody, and the tune summons up that frustration i've felt quite a lot over the years.
magnetic man in general i can live with, they made some proper bangers and we all know it's supposed to be popstep. better have the true innovators spearhead dubstep's mainstream success than benny benassi or so

For years Skream at in his bedroom making deeper tunes that have become massive stand out anthems amongst people that were clubbing when he made tunes like Request Line etc. he had huge fan base, was a stand out producer, played to 1,000 a night, had so many records in every Dj's bags and made good money.
Now he can do something basic like this tune, earn GOOOOD money doing huge tours and stadium and fesitvals to 7,000+ a night easy. Hes done the deep, dark sub bass stuff, everyone knows it, so let him make stuff like this for shitloads of cash.
saying all that this tune sucks balls, and Magnetic Man shows look boring as fuck.
