According to wikipedia my home town (cambridge, incidentally) drew up he first set of rules for association football as well. Whether that's a good or a bad thing depends on the person I suppose.

Train was done here in Darlo wasn't it? Darlington to Shildon was the first ever steam train route.

Other than that, it's a shithole.

the DnB connection is great though. Up until recently they ran a monthly club night that was always proper vibes, Hopsital style liquid, but steering clear of the cheesier elements of it (usually) and always had a chill crowd. They've stopped doing that now though, I think because after there was a Hospitality night in Cambridge recently they might just be doing that more regularly? Not sure though, haven't been back properly since the first one.

2 of Pink Floyd went to my sixth form when it was still a comprehensive many years ago as well.

Spoonfed is returning to Cambridge later in the year :W:

Yeah, I think you're right. Because it used to pick up coal from all the collieries and take it to the port at Stockton. It's one of those local history things they teach you at school and you never forget but are always vague of the details.

Jeremiah Dixon was from Sunderland way and he surveyed most of the rail roads in the southern US states.

Fast forward a 150 years and we've got the worst trains in the world. We fucking gave the world the train and now look at us :6:

Also the worst thing to actually come out of my city is the Calgary Stampede (turns into a county fair type thing, but really its the biggest purse in Rodeo competition). Its 10 days where almost everyone dresses up like cowboys, especially the business folks downtown. Its fucking bullshit, but we got the royals to do it when they visted, lol

Although there are a lot of slutty bitches during Stampede. In light of this, flower shop sales and divorce rates are highest after the Stampede lol
