if the dvd player has a line out?
Re: how do i sample dvd audio!?
Or you could play the DVD on your computer and record into Audacity (or whatever it is your using) that way.
Re: how do i sample dvd audio!?
yea that would be easier, i could never find the option to record straight from the soundcard
Re: how do i sample dvd audio!?
You can do it my way...
Load DVD into VLC > Click convert/Stream > Convert file to .wav
You have the whole film in wav so you can listen opposed to watch..
Great for mp3 player when walking around

^ Hope this helps.
If you need anything re-explained after that video just say.
Heres some brief lines of what I did step by step.
Start convert/stream (Ctrl+R)
Select the file in File Selection.
Once done - click convert (or alt+c)
Select destination file (go browse, find where you want to save to, type in filename.wav, click save)
Check your audio codec settings; Wav isn't a default you have to set it.
Click Start.
disclaimer; please only do this for audio tracks you own the rights of or are using it for non-profitable activities.

Mac only, but this improves fidelity by avoiding two generations of digital conversion. And it's free.
