EOTO vs, dj push play

Post by dj ill-nois » Thu Jul 28, 2011 4:34 am

EOTO, very different dubstep sound. made with actual drums (most of time) than drum kits.
live improvision, weird ass womps, and real flow through songs.

i remember reading a topic awhile back on them, most people were bassically saying, "wtf is this"

i mean it is dubstep 140bpm, but they are very different. it took me a huge amount of time to like them, idk one day i heard a live recording
and from then on have thought of them on a different level. i mean everything about them sounds different.

and on a live standpoint i think they are way better.
i was absoutly pissed off when i saw nero, can you say
"dj press play" NOTHING sounded different, he just stood there emotionless, just there. same thing with exciscion,
i hate even more when i see an electronic show and half the time spent is the producer spraying bottles and running around.
i mean atleast make it LOOK like youre doing something up there. did i paid $30 for just a huge speaker system and a laser..

i saw doctor p and flux, they seemed a bit better, especially doctor p he seemed like he was actually mixing.

but is this the same in europe? would anyone else perfer live instruments or improvised music with their dubstep?

i mean at home chilling i dont like eoto that much, maybe if blasted, but live i think they take the cake easy.

thoughts?

theres actually a really thrilling middle ground where djs beatmatch and things get really live off the decks alone.

also paying money to experience top class sound isnt a bad thing.
