@fluidmoshun Wow, I quite enjoyed that I really like it, its so all over the place but its awesome haha

@divane - ? I am not quite sure what you are referring to as the synth that is off? i mean what I hear is pretty on, It may go to the extremes of almost being off, but again I need to know what synth you are even talking about, im not sure if its the chime synth later on after the second vocal sample, or the desert flute thingy lol idk what to call it. It was a recording I made and I like that last end of it, has that like "elegant, desert dweller" feel to it, and the second one is more of a your in a jungle now lol

Andrix- nice ideas, work on the mixdown it was muddy and too loud.
MTDubstep- bare vibes on the intro man top work!, the drops sick, very skanky, send me a 320 when its done!
FluidMoShun- Not really sure what to make of this man, ona technical standpoint turn your main wobble down, its overpowering, also a little too basic sounding at the start. very interesting effort though mate

heres what iv come up with

Cheeky - I dig the tune. I think the first bass could be beefed up a bit. It sounds a bit thin.

@Andrix- I can't wait to see where you go with the drop man it has potential to stab faces and the intro is solid but to me the synth that starts off the song is just a tad loud

@JLproductions just finished it, message me if u want a 320

@wizardd definitely keep working on that one, i think if u learn to proper EQ and structure it out well your bass sounds will take you somewhere. Find how to EQ drums and work with it. Nice track so far.

@ Cheeky DAMN! fatty bass blowin up my sub. Hectic bassline and great structure man. Dont really have much to say besides that shit hits hard! Big up the heavy bass :D

Alright i uploaded a bit yesterday but i really refined this one to where i want it to be. I read no full tracks but fuck it im proud of my work (2nd drop was a huge improvement in my own production)and would like criticism :)

need tips on working in vocal bits for intros hooks and drops, any advice greatly appreciated

MT Dubstep - sounds like a good start man but could use more mids in the bassline or however you want to bring it out more.
*EDIT* sorry if it came off as if i thought there was no bass, there is a really nice deep bass rolling along in the track, and its more than a good start, but for lack of any better critique, i threw out a random idea that it could possibly be opened up a bit more, sorry if that doesnt help. maybe add a little more reverb or do something to the snare, again not much i can say as its sounding great as is. **

Cheeky - woah nice sounds man i always enjoyed that liquid drop type of bass. i think it coudl use a little beefing up though maybe layer it with another sound but other than that sounds great and decent mixing as well. kick and snare could maybe have a little more impact as well it soudns like this could be a serious banger but for some reason it jsut isnt hitting as hard as id like.

crakasteven - reeally nice sounding man mixing is just great everything sounds great , im liking when the hihats kick in. bass is really deep and sounds like its creeping out from the depths. only suggestion i have is to make the drop more powerful im not sure how, maybe introduce the bass in some way in the buildup maybe throw an auto filter on it or else some hihats or a kickdrum or snareline buildup not quite sure.

:corndance:

heres one i was working on a while ago but ran out of ideas, its not technically dubstep but has the same elements, i suppose you could call it dnb, 158bpm.

any criticism on mixing or things you dont like/sound like shit , things i could add ,or how the drop is sounding would be great, thanks

@ everyone: MT Dubstep's tune has fucking bass in it. deep bass actually, it does not need any fucking "mid" added to it... fuck. do you guys listen to dubstep without a sub or without proper monitoring headphones, and then go and critque people's music? just because the bass is not wobbling does not mean it's not bass.

lol do we have a hipster on our hands? I know there is bass in his track, and lots of it, I was just saying he could bring it out more in the non sub range

just tryin to chill out, listen to tunes, and critique as best I can(thats what this thread is for?) which is hard on quality track such as that so sorry if i offended your all-knowing dubstep ways. :t:

hipster? if anything, a hipster would be promoting use of midrange, not sub. dubstep is supposed to have deep sub bass in it. it doesn't have to wobble, it doesn't have to have distortion, it doesn't need to be bitcrushed.

the guy's tune has good sub bass, stop trying to insinuate that he needs mid range fucking wobble robot shit noise. :a:

@ MT dubstep
really like this, make me remember DJ Madd remixes on WAR..
@wizardd
you should lay down the compression a bit, only looking at the soundcloud player and all i see is a huge brick wall..not a good start.Won't criticize the style since it's not my type, but as far as I could listen, you really need to work on your mixdown skills! you should check out the moneyshot thread!
@cheeky
you should put a little more weight on the sub that's underneath that wobble, but it's nice reminds me of caspa lol
@ crakasteven
this track is fucking sick, that bass is weighty and you've got a nice atmosphere, just as i like it!

Here's something I started working on,it's an early WIP the bass at the drop is only there to give an idea as I'm not done doing the bassline, what i'm looking for is feedback on the drums,pads,atmos...i think I did a good job on the drums especially at 1:36 just need outside opinions hahaha thanks guys love this place :w:
Soundcloud
EDIT:Also, when I did the bounce, the tempo was at 135 cause i was trying something and forgot to put it back at 140 so it's a bit slower

@NRHc just the feel of the track is my style so big ups there lol. the atmosphere is very chill something i would close my eyes to unique drums for sure.

@fds personally didnt really like it... until the drop that is lol killer switch up imo, newer producer so cant be much help with fine tuning stuff but a solid track in my eyes.

Brand new producer here with my updated WIP did some work on it today while i could roughly got the drop in there and messed with some stuff, any pointers would be helpful let me know how it sounds so far

@Ruckr23: Very nice. The kick and snare sound a little weak to me though, they don't stand out in the mix very well. Maybe try finding better samples, do some EQing, or layering. ;-)

@s3b: You need to give feedback to 3 other people before posting your WIP, keep that in mind ;-) Anywho, I like the bassline. Try varying up the drums a little though, instead of just kick, snare, kick, snare over and over. Throw in some hihats, maybe do a little kick, kick, snare action ;-)

@NRHc: Very nice job with the percussion, sounds excellent. I really like the mellowness of this track :D

Here's my wip. I'm not happy at all with the intro right now, but I need suggestions on how to make it flow into the portal 2 sample better. Thanks :)
