oh man completley forgot about the 3 feedback thing :corntard: my bad
@crakasteven Loving that bassline. as for advice i probably wont be much help as i have just started to get the hang of making my own music. great track though :)
@fds- to be honest the drop kinda sounds like skrillexes remix of cinema. i dont know if its just me. anyways its a pretty good track! :W:
@NRHc very cool especially at 1.06. i could really drift away and relax to it. :4:

@ Cheeky - Great gritty track man reminds me of something Kromestar would make, i would be tempted to add a bit more reverb to the main gritty bassline or try out different types. This would help to add more atmosphere and character.

@NRHc - This is a very nice track good work. I would reccommend testing out the snare with another layer maybe a pitched up rim shot, just to give it more punch. Other than that its just levels i would turn the pad up just slighty its a bit quiet mayeb even add a short deeper one on every other bar. Great track though love it!

@ Ruckr23 - Hands up this is much better than my first dubstep track the drums especially the snare sound like youve been working on them a while, took me ages to learn a good technique for making a good snare, its places like this that teach you! I like the intro just not too keen on the bassline after the drop it just sounds quite generic, try equalizing it a bit get a bit of distortion to it, maybe even duplicate it to add another layer and use the second one to take out some hi's and bring out all the low end. Adding a bit of reverb to it also adds to the thickness of it. Hope this helps.

@ Sine69 - Maybe add an evolving pad into the intro for more atmosphere. In terms of rolling it into the portal sample maybe try and add in a build up sound like a tone or a space shippy sound (if that makes sense). If you have no pre-made ones you can also do this by automating the pitch.

Heres my second edit of my track Hybrid added some pads into the intro as suggested. Any other critism will be welcomed.

stnuc.
But how do I know it's dubstep if there are no wobbles????

:corndance: :cornlol:
My track was intended to be a 'reggae dub' kind of track. Not full of wobbles.

To everyone who's said 'add a mid' or 'add wobbles' and so on. I've tried it, and it sounds too out of place for the feeling I want this track to send.
But I do appreciate all the feedback given, and I will try again with mids.

As always harsh crit is nothing personal, We all grow because some dickhead said we sucked and why.

JLproductions- Liking the low key intro, beeps are nice, atmosphere is well done, sounds real well produced man. This is dope, love your bass sounds in this, I'd maybe chill with the snare a little as it's a really low key track and has a sick vibe, snare is distracting. Dunno man not much else to say, mix is good, track is dope. Keep it up. Want a 320 when it's done.

Sine- Intro is nifty, like the hats, not a fan of any of the synths or the melody, filter is nice, bass is low, but needs both more high end and low end, pretty rad, needs atmospheric touches, and also more movement/variation. Strong ideas, meh execution, not awful though, intro needs a facelift and the entire track needs more atmosphere, could definitely see this evolving into something rad though so stay on it and do work son.

NRHC- Intro reminds me of a playstation game called legend of dragoon. that is until the drums come in, loved that game. anyway you need a fatter kick, thicker snare and a more subby sub. All the musical elements are rad the production just needs some tweaking, it isn't bad though and it totally gives me a nerd boner for reminding me of that game.

This is something I picked out of my early early WIPs from when I was starting out a few years ago, wasn't even a dubstep track it was kinda... dunno. used some FL samples that I love very much for breaks and the pads, love the sounds and haven't found anything close to them, plus I love sampling so unless the ideas are bad you can shove it about that. Took an hour and gave the mix a facelift and added a brief drop, my computer is incapable of processing it anymore though so I figured I'd throw it up as is and let my pc rest. Also the mix had to be done on my laptop speakers so cut me some slack on that end, I'll have to work with a real system later when everything wants to cooperate. Pretty much any feedback on general songwriting and direction is cool, will be checking the mix later though so please bear that in mind. Enjoy.
A conglomeration of my old tearout tunes I like, and my new ones I don't

@atticuh love the duckish wobble but just bring it more in the front; jeah only thing needee is a proper mixdown

@kes-es really feeling the intro feels like a track on its own, bass is really heavy like how it got hi ends but they dont feel to sharp in the ears, dunno snare is fat bassdrum is fat hm only thing is the change in the mood of the track

@JLproducion mix sounds nice but its quite repetative so i now that can be a good thing but maybe you could add a vocal piece or some unexpected drum spaces; or speedchanges in the bassline maybe some triblets?

@s3b sub is heavy but its overlayering the rest so bring the other stuff more in the front maybe some tube on the midrange, new york compression the bassdrum, but think it could turn out nice

i started a more techno based tune together with my brother like the vibe so far

Kes-Es Really nice! I like how smoothly it goes into each part
Bud Spencerton I liike it hahaa it almost sounds like trance step lol not that im defining what the genre is haha just that i like to not even go by genres and just make music haha
Jl Productions I like it man keep working on it and finish it up!! I cant wait to hear it all finished
@ Attica dude keep working on that for real I love that !!! haha

Well that dubstep track i posted earlier sounds literally a wholllle lot better, it sounded like poop, hey im no pro haha im literally learning how to use these programs all on my own, i know how to make music though its not that hard to see whats fully in tune with what..

Heres a new one im working on which I made a more deep bass too, but its def dubstep haha, deeeep dubstep, this monster is friendly though, he's just powerful n big.... (aka the song is more spaceous <---or however you spell that___)
Enjoy :D

Here is the annoying robot orgy that was before and that has stemmed into a whole new bass monster lol trust me it sounds way better and has bass :D Essentially this track is finished and almost fully mastered you can tell by the clear quality of the vocal sample that its brighter and pops much more than it did before i dont even remember if i had that vocal sample in it, but in the other dubstep theres a hidden psychedelic message to hear or if you focus on it you'll hear it its my voice with filters i added later hahaha

i like it man I like it a lot, just I guess as a tip maybe incorporate a similar but different sounding bass in for a little variation. I like it a lot though like i said, I like it enough that id download the preview hahaha

And i totally dont mean like change the bass or make the bass new, im saying like just pop in a little pattern of another bass somewhere in between that equation like a mind boggler bass, one that just leaves you like whoah that went real fast through me and i didnt realize it fully consciously, but subliminally its gnarly hahaha

@BUDSPENCERTRON: Wow, that is really awesome. It all flows so good together, really awesome. The kick falls into the sub is AWESOME. Gewd job. I also like that little lead you have goin, what is that?

@ATTICUH: THAT WAS FUCKING LOUD. A really fresh sound though. Just throwin everything out the window and just BREAKING THE SOUND BARRIER. WINNNNING.

@KES: Wow, that was really good. Nuff said.

Here is a WIP I started about 10 hours ago, I'm stuck at this part.

It's going to be a rap beat so I can rap over it and talk about how much I love the Illuminati. This is just the intro.

@s3b - ahh naw, 8 bit noises. the wobs seem kinda deep, i'd layer another synth over it. you have a good start, just seems kinda.. plain at the moment.

@JLproductions - liking the nice spacy intro. really dign the drum work on the drop to, nice shuffles of the snares. synth work is nice as well, i mainly like the ambience. i'd throw some chopped up vocal samples in there, something kinda hard to understand but yet kinda clear enough to hear if you really pay attention.

@Kes-es - i like the intro but it doesn't seem to fit the drop. the drop itself is really good. the track has alot of energy for sure.

@atticuh - very odd ducky sounding bass here.. i'd bring it up in the mix, also the drums sound far away. this could be a really trippy song, this would make a nice intro to a proper drop for sure.

@budspencertron - nice plucky sounds. also dign those crunching scratchy noises. the reesey type bass is nice as well, this song is kinda reflective of space travel.

@wizard - intro works, the samples are a bit overgained, i'd bring them down some, the drop seems to decrease in volume quite a bit. the growls are really nice though, i like the deepness of it, it just needs some boosting in the mids an highs. the reverb works well with the growls. the drums are also nice, i like the hand drums.. i need to use these.

@chaddub - not really my style at all... but it does sounds like the cliche hip approach if thats what your after.

here is my 'attempt' at some skrillex growls... not really what i'm aiming to do but if anyone likes the synth work, we can discuss what to do about recreating this.

i said the approach was. i hate most hiphop, so there you have it. not all.. but most. and yours, falls into that area of being typical.. however i'm sure Dubstepforum really wants to hear this one get finished up.. we can't wait :6:

Kes-Es - I love the intro, the whirring sound and the high beep things. Drop is crazy too, but the melody sounds like it should be playing more after the drop, like I would have something more simple note wise and then play that part before it calms down again.

wizardd - Started out good but got boring fast. Not enough going on, maybe add some hats at least? Like maybe on the and of every note, like one AND two AND three sorta hats.
Your second song kills it, but the kick is a little hidden. If it was punchy and upfront it'd be totally awesome. Maybe the snare is behind as well. The kick and the snare sound nice upfront.

dmisreal - Nice samples, but maybe work on the whole melody. It's nothing special so far, I mean the sounds are fine but it's the melody that lacks, it's not so catchy.

lowphat - Pretty groovin, I like the drum pattern on this.

Very new to production, not very technical. I'll try my best as a listener to give feedback.

@JLproductions - absolutely loving this one mate, reminds me of the early stuff, the only bad thing about the track in my opinion is the snare, seems a little out of place? apart from that killer tune mate

@atticuh - that's one of the most original wobbles ever, and sounds fuckin fresh, keep up it mate

@wizardd - mate that's dark as, this is the one, don't really know what else to say, really feelin it.

As I said, i'm very new to production, but i'd really like some constructive criticism / feedback on anything to do with my track. Would be greatly appreciated.
