lol bro not even close.. and that ego isn't gonna win you any fans fer sure.
Re: In a years time i will be better than your favorite prod
I mean you're better than me but no where close to my fav producer... idk maybe you're as good as him.. your style isn't my thing...
Re: In a years time i will be better than your favorite prod
I come from a rock and roll background and I've been playing in bands for nearly a decade. My influence mostly comes from rock music and a few digital producers.
My signature song is the most standard dubstep song I've produced and that's why it's my signature here on "dubstepforum.com".
Listen to my tunes and I doubt you will be able to compare all of my songs to even a handful of artists or producers you know... Then again I'm still very new to dubstep and other digital music (I hated DnB for years but I love it now!) so I could be pleasantly surprised if someone showed me a producer with a similar style to mine.
Really, if you doubt what I'm saying go to my soundcloud page there's a link below.
I'll state this one last time; I am in no way suggesting that my music is better than anyone elses. I just think that most amateur producers don't have the background of influences I have and that gives me a different sound. Honestly I don't think the music I produce will get me anywhere because I doubt there's a market for it but I would rather make original music that I want to hear than cater to what other people want to hear.

I'm an indie rock/post-hardcore/pop producer for the most part?
Skrillex was an emo rock producer?
I don't doubt what you're saying at all, I think we're arguing different points.
Your stuff's good mate. But I can hear elements from a lot of producers/tracks in your sig track, whether that's by coincidence or not, can't say. Not directly stolen, that's not what I'm getting at, but the influence is there for sure. I think it's a fantastic dubstep track. It's a good attitude to have too. If your music is good, people will like it, which it is.
Everything can be traced back to some neanderthal tapping on a log and wailing at some point.

skrillex was a hardcore screamo singer. calling it emo rock is like calling dubstep electro.ElSonido wrote:I'm an indie rock/post-hardcore/pop producer for the most part?

Fair call. I know about as little as From First To Last as there is. I just know Sonny is a very good businessman.
Re: In a years time i will be better than your favorite prod
Sonny Moore wasn't a producer, he was a singer and a guitar player. In fact as Skrillex he still goes into the studio with a producer overseeing his production. I never liked from first to last. That band represented the death of everything I loved about underground Metalcore, post hardcore and Emocore. Still... He did put me on his guest list twice at a local venue when his band played but I left before they performed both times (Shhh! don't tell him!)
Re: In a years time i will be better than your favorite prod
Ahhhhhhh, that explains a lot. Thanks. It really does confirm how little I know about him, or care for that matter, I'm glad to know that though.
This is especially interesting. I've got a friend who says exactly the same thing. Sonny's got a commercial touch of death it seems.
