hmm i dunno :/ i mean for the acid sounds maybe, but even then some sound pretty harsh and not the standard acid sound, id be surprised if they have a 303 haha

and pariah turns his hand to all sorts, cant really pigeonhole his sound

Hm yeah they definitely do sound harsher, just knew Blawan was a huge fan of them. Definitely used it for the R&S release.

Agreed - rougher, tougher and darker. The recent Syncopy remix is quite similar in tone perhaps.

Although saying that it's easier - to my ears - to pinpoint the Blawan input/influence on these tracks than the Pariah influence. Probably because right now Blawan has such a recognisable sound, particular with regards to percussion, that you could probably get him in a marching band and you'd hear it. As you say Pariah is kind of all over the shop so he could be anywhere.

absolutely, I like this kind of techno/house/dubstep hybrid thing. anything else to recommend beside the usual suspects? most techno I've heard gets boring quite fast because the basslines are just too monotonous for my taste. and I'm not a huge fan of those standard loop-techno tracks if you know what I mean... nothing beats blawans basslines

some of milton bradley's stuff has a similar vibe

Not looking for feedback or anything but decided to take a stab at making a Karenn type track over the past few days. Thought you all might like it? None of my mates are really into that sort of thing so I thought I'd share here. There's a free DL too, if you're into it.

You know Techhouse exists right? Just go on a online record shop that supports some underground techno and listen, and you will find loads of similar stuff.

Nice to see a kind of shift towards that direction now.
