Personally though I dont know why people rate Crazy D so much, in the past couple of months i've heard 3 of his sets, off the breeze block, FWD and DMZ last week, he used the same lyrics all the time, dont get me wrong he has good flow.. but if a dj turned up and played the same records all the time i would soon get bored of them.
agree
singing olivia newton john's lyrics is funny for some time but not 3 months in a row.

woohoo woooohhhhuuuuuu

pokes for sure (coz he knows when to host and when he has to stop...)

There are more but you get the idea I agree that Crazy D could do wiv being told when to stop. Having some lyric is fine, good even, but imo a mc should read the crowd and help present the music so Pokes gets my vote.

(the best example of how Crazy has no interest in the crowd was at DMZ, when the guy passed out/fell unconscience down the front early on Crazy was on the mic, now surely someone payingclose attention to the crowd would have noticed a large percentage of the crowd stopping there groove and waving and shouting to the mc for him to get sercurity? What did Crazy do? He just kept going woh woh woh!) - Rant Over ;)

maybe the guy shouldn't pass out in the 1st place. it's not bloody return to the source, get me?

on a style note it's hard to compare pokes and crazy d - pokes a toaster, from that background, and crazy d's really a garage boy. i think crazy's lyrics can get a bit old, but rhythmically no1 can test him. shows when he's on a mic next to skepta, wiley etc. prefer pokes for digi mystikz styles, but that's not all there is dubstep wise...

space ape is the voice of dubstep: jamaican roots, deep dRK style. a well seasoned m.c.

Right now, it's DEFINITELY Space Ape. So unique. He can hype as well as anyone (anyone who was at the last fwd will confirm that), and his rhymes are deep... great flow too.

That's a bit of a shit attitude mate. How exactly does a person control whether or not they pass out? Stuff like that happens at raves - they're extreme situations. Helping people out when they're in trouble is just simple courtesy.

tbh roguestar is a prime example of the dangers of 2 many mcs. really ordinary delivery, really ordinary things to say. best you could say is he's quite enthusiastic.

spaceape can hype, but rhythmically a bit dull. at last fwd he was proper when he worked with the tunes, but there's only so much on-the-beat, righteous poetry i can take. i think he'd struggle with any1 other than kode9, also.

ppls in a rave can control when they pass out by sorting themselves out on their drugs. and even when they don't, which every1 doesn't at some point, I'm not sure it's down to the mc to sort them out. there's a show must go on mentality, for sure, and I don't want the MC stopping 2 show concern every time sum idjut chucks a whitey. i also think discussions bout MCs or any1 else involved in music should stick to musical ability and not random gossip about 1 thing that happended at dmz from a certain perspective. it's a dubstep forum, not a knitting circle - chat on your own time init...

Of course, it's likely the person was drugged off their tits, but still, it's a nasty thing to happen to anyone - and there's hundreds of other things that could've happened to them. They might've had their drink spiked or something for example.

I dunno man, if somethings going down in the crowd, its part of the MCs job to try and help the situation.
