Some of the labels (somewhat relevant to this board) that have been affected by the fire at Sony/PIAS distribution in Enfield.
You could show your support by purchasing a/some releases digitally or why not even a record?

Brownswood
Domino
Drowned in Sound
Fabric
Kompakt
Ninja Tune
Ho Hum
Rough Trade
S&D
Soul Jazz
Young Turks

and a host of others (just listing the ones I know...) I think there's a full list floating about somewhere...

Well, success is in the mind of the beholder.

If a flat screen TV and new pair of crepz = success to you, good for you.

If success to you means making real money then it's time to think and work smarter. Truly financially successful people can buy TV's and shoes with pocket change while booking their flights to their second home in a hot country.

Go figure! :P

That's all well and good if there are enough opportunities for everyone. As it stands at the moment you need to work hard AND have a lot of luck (or questionable morality).

Rumours of library closure in hackney, town hall evacuated, people gathering in London fields.

Of course opportunities are seized rather than provided. ;)

If someone is motivated, they will do what it takes to capitalise on the opportunities that they create for themselves. :4:

To my mind, that generally doesn't mean waiting for employment 'opportunities' from others!

All I'm saying is that everyone is capable of finding ways and means to improve their lives without wanton destruction or resorting to crime and violence to advance. :Q:

Its easy to call it all mindless destruction but there must be something simmering underneath for people to torch buildings.
