Who's better than Kromestar/ISoul?

Post by relaks » Mon May 21, 2007 12:57 pm

Probably no one. Never ceases to amaze me. When the man hits, it's a home run, grand slam, straight out of the park.

He's the most prolific producer in dubstep, perhaps tying with skream (TBH, anyone that prolific, not EVERY tune can be big, but still)

His beats seem to get the most rewinds when Hatcha blesses us with a set here in Florence

Seriously, this man has RIDDIMS. "here we come" has got to be one of my favorite tracks. "path of jah" WHAT?!?! sick sick beats.

Am I alone on this? I know Joe Nice/Lionel Ritchie loves his beats. Seems to me like he's a bit slept on. Speaking of that, the "mozart 3000" cotti/kromestar diddy is great.

Feel free to discuss. I just needed to get that off my chessle.

He's got a couple of tunes I like but I think there are a lot of producers doing more exciting things atm on a personal level... Also I don't think he always puts out his best songs.

...have almost every single 12" from him and i think the best bits still unreleased...

his productions r ruff risky and grimey, the basslines from "art of music"- the piano tune- are pure madness.

much love for the man with the diverse styles!

Man is proper hit and miss for me. Some fucking large and addictive tunes, but some like previously mentioned, don't sound finished. Some shouldn't have been released. I think maybe just more quality control to be had?

spreads himself abit thin I think, loads of styles loads of names - gotta respect it tho, hes def on music.

Dont watch southside but, & alotta times artists arent 100% in control of whats released - which is abit -

I like the grimey simple 1s still - but one of my fav bits was a dubby remix he did fora garage label of some vocal tune, cant remember wot it was called now, but its dope.

Trust me. Coki is on next levels. If any of you's listen to Kromestar's tune DARTH SOUL on Tempa Allstars Vol 5 Mix, you will cry. TesLaRok is also movin. I'm backin 'Lik A Shot' will be a milestone!
