AKAI MPD 26 issue
Okay i just bought an akai mpd 26 today...when i uploaded ableton it was synced and ready to go. I opened massive and played with a few sounds and it worked fine. Then i put the disk in that comes in the box in my computer and i pressed a couple pads on my mpd and next thing i know it is no longer synced with ableton. When i press a pad or adjust a knob the little button in the top right corner of ableton no longer lights up and no sounds are working. Anyone know what i coulda done?
Re: AKAI MPD 26 issue
so the ONLY thing yo did between this working and not working was putting a cd in the cd tray? that doesn't sound plausible.
When ever my ableton gives me grief with midi syncing shit, i will reboot the computer. open ableton and then unselect the midi devices in the pref > midi tabs then will reselect the midi devices again. Usually this fixes my issues, i generally only have issues when i go form studio mode into live dj gig mode and thats because the midi devices get moved and i dont put the same thing back in the same usb port so the computer gets confused sometimes about adresses for usb devices, but the unselect/reselect never lets me down.
