First i want to say that most everyone here has treated me like an asshole everytime i post on here. Everytime i come on here for help i usually end up finding the answer eventually but its hell to get it because of the rude arrogant assholes on this site. Just figured maybe u guys wanted to get your heads outta your own asses for a change.

You all are fucking assholes anytime it comes to cracked software. You talk shit to people because they are using cracked software and it is widely frowned upon amongst people on this site. READ THAT INTERVIEW. Doctor P said "I would be nowhere without file sharing. I buy my software now, but when I was fourteen I couldn’t afford to spend thousands of pounds on software I didn’t even know how to use."

Dont tell me to "GO BUY THE FUCKING SOFTWARE" when someone as credible as Doctor P says he would be nowhere without cracked software..My family doesnt have the money to buy ableton, massive, midi controllers, studio moniters, and all this other stuff but i still want to produce so i would appreciate it if this site would stop acting like we murdered someone just because we downloaded cracked software.

Although this isnt that big of a deal, it still fucking pissed me off and is prime example of the asshole mods on this site. I made a thread earlier this week simply asking what some good synths were and a few questions. i knew when i posted this that it had prolly been discussed somewhere on the site but when i searched synths i got 5700 results so i figured i would make a new post to save myself from having to dig through 5000 results. But no wub you had to be a fucking asshole and make a smartass comment and then close the thread. You all can fucking ban me i dont give a shit. But fuck the cocky prick assholes on this site and THANK YOU to the decent folks on here. Producing is hard to grasp when you start out and then assholes make it that more frustrating.

Its alright when the intention to eventually pay for it is there. But when somebody DL's cracked software and doesn't intend to ever make it right and pay for it, thats what pisses me off.

Well.....lol i owe WUB an apollogy. I just went and looked back at several of my previous posts and just saw that Wub was rather helpful and courteous to me on a previous occasion. So to WUB....my bad completely man! But seriously i have had to deal with rude people nearly everytime i have posted on here. And think about it. I usually come on here when i am having a serious issue or something so im usually not in the greatest mood when i get on here and then someone just says something smart or rude and i want to beat their fucking ass but i cant cause they are hid behind a computer screen

I love him. but then i know other people who dont like him at all so i understand. But all i mean is someone who is very famous admits he used cracked software..i would like to admit that i have cracked software to people when i am asking for help but i usually lie because i see how that person gets attacked on here when they do say they have cracked software.

He just closed the thread on me..i wanted some discussion to see what synths everyone was using and learn a little bit about them but he just closed it on me. I just found it rude he could have said you know i think there is a section about this in the production bible or something but he just came across as an asshole and left me hanging. after he closed the thread i was like well i know its SOMEWHERE on the site but i dont know where and i spent probably 20 mins looking until i found it in the production bible. Im sorry i know it seems like i overreacted but i wasted time looking for that when he could have simply pointed me in the right direction. but iats all good...im just trying to learn and it makes it hard when people are rude..Sorry if I come across as an asshole myself lol

personally i don't really care anymore if people do it as there is no end in sight
it's people expecting the technical support for a product they didn't pay for that irks the hell out of me
that and it's fairly obvious to people who bought the software when people are asking about an outdated version or an error that only appears in cracked versions, or something covered in the manual that wasn't included in said cracked version
why not ask all the questions on the site you downloaded it from in the first place?

The majority of music makers I know are 20somethings+ with jobs, houses, wifes, girlfriends; when you're in that position you don't wanna go downloading stuff illegally because there is the option of losing everything you have from one stupid mistake thus a lot of people buy their software and recommend other people doing so, to. There is also the factor that you're stealing from the same industry what is going to be putting food on your table if you make money from it - that is just some stupidly twisted logic if you think that is ok.

No on said making music was cheap. To even put out a 2track digital release you're looking at 50-100$.


There is also so much freeware out there you don't have an excuse to not be legit; with commercial software or not.

Its not what you have its how you use it.

And soo many of them are the same if not better than many of the big name synths.
Check out Oatmeal, Charlatan, synth1, rez3, Tal Synths........
You can try Reaper for your daw of choice.
It is cheap but is also a free to use, fully functional demo.

Okay, so you dont really care what your members such as myself think of the site you just care about the people who place ads? Cause I along with many other people think this site "looks bad" because of the way you get treated on here when you ask a question. This is exactly what i am talking about though. i come on here and voice my displeasure with the site and you tell me to "fuck off" and to "learn about the world and the internet" like your just albert einstein and i am a retard. Hey einstein your analogy to soccer balls doesnt quite fit because a soccer ball is what 30 bucks? Ableton live costs like 500+, massive is $199, Native instruments Komplete 8 is $1000+. There is a slight difference in price between a soccer ball and a midi controller. Also, i am 20 years old and i am a very broke college student who doesnt have much support from the family. i dont get much money for FOOD so its kinda hard to imagine paying hundreds of dollars for something i may never be any good at. Oh and if i did "make" it in the industry that i stole from....i would gladly pay it back.

Yeah this. The last few years I've noticed more and more when looking for reviews or info on plugins or software in general, the first hits are very often torrents or those filetube sites that crawl forums.

Also totally agree with Electric_Head, loads of amazing free stuff out there often times as good or better than commercial counterparts. The Bootsy plugins for example put some expensive plugins to shame.

IMO mass piracy is largely to blame in some ways for the torrents (pun intended) of shit music released the last few years. Quality control has really gone downhill, because if you have nothing invested... what's the point of making anything new or creative, or taking it seriously? It's cookie cutter music business.
I'm not saying everyone who uses cracks makes shit music, or doesn't take it seriously. I mean the people who like to flood youtube and soundcloud and spam forums with their latest 2 minute attempts. It's so saturated these days.
