Gain Structuring my mixdowns at -6db and porting it out at that so I can master without any real problems.
That and multi-layering tons and tons of samples collected over time.

Definitely the Manuels of ableton and the various vst's I use. Absolute goldmine. Half the time I wish my plugins could do something, check the Manuel, and it turns out they can

Lately I've been mixing songs for a friend's band, I'll usually try to grab a few samples from their tracks

It's a good way to get unique samples.
