Re: SNH Blogs: 4.0 -- Revival

I'm now getting bare views, clicks, getting groupies and making bank, and it's given me an excuse to start talking to producers haha. Big up all for the help on this, I'd probably be getting 2 views a week if it wasn't for this thread.

Bumping with Sunklo's daily SEO trick! When you make a post, the title will be in the url permalink up to a certain number of characters. If you change the title later, the url will still be the same. See what I'm getting at? Target your keywords in the title first to make sure they all fit instead of a bunch of 'and' 'the' 'is' 'of' etc. words. Then go back and edit your title into something that makes more sense. You can use it to cut out the useless words or just keyword stuff your url.

Nice tip$ man.

They're probably not up there with some of your blogs, but I'm getting enough for a vinyl a day pretty much and that's more than I ever thought I'd make :h: , and views are in the hundreds now. Still on 25 followers showing, but there are people that regularly comment that aren't in my list of followers. Still, try to find new blogs to follow and comment every couple of days.

I get so many views from people searching for "[Title of Track/Artist I've featured] rar mediafire download" or similar  and I don't wanna brag, but I'm pretty big in Argentina and Bosnia & Herzegovina right now.

hahaha!

Straight up, you should stuff some "mediafire" like words in your title, a la sunk's suggestion, then clean it up a bit, and then lay on the light morality trip, like this guy spent 2 months of his life making this track, why don't you give him a... dollar, type shit.

Then give them links to where they can purchase.

Or not, I'm just leaking out of my mouth.

Congrats on the success, your blog is qualityx2.

No doubt. Back in the day, you were lucky to get a comment, or get like 50 cents in a day. Now if I'm not getting like 20-30 comments, or makin $5 a day when I post, its a failure :cornlol:

Mr. Knell, I noticed you follow "Korah" on soundcloud. That kid is in my irl local crew :cornlol:

Funny to see the power of the internet I guess. No one knew who he was here until like 3 months ago

we're friends on facebook and skype occasionally, same sense of humor (love to give each other a hard time), he's a really cool kid. small world indeed.

Hey smartypantzes,

One thing that I've gone back and forth with through this whole thing is how to approach commenting.

I've gone from commenting to those that follow me, to making browser bookmark folders to open all follower's blogs, to commenting on those that have commented on me, and now I'm doing all three, and it is a mess. I'm doing like 2.5x the work I need to, I think. Also, I have two blogs, with a pretty good set of overlap between followers (and commenters).

What I'd like to do is simply comment on all followers who have posted.
The dashboard is good for this, but not great in my opinion. I have a blog roll on one of my blogs, and I've found it is a great way to see who has posted recently, and to check out their posts. Maybe that is because I only have room for five (hey if anyone has me on their blogroll please let me know so I can return the favor, I feel like I saw one of the crew with it, but I can't recall, and in fact, I may be tripping altogether) there. But I'm thinking, I'd love to have a page somewhat like a giant blogroll, where newest posts came to the top, and I could easily see who has posted.

How could I do that?

With an html page filled with rss feeds? How would I sort that so newest came to the top?

Could I do it on each of my blogs, on some hidden page, set up an actual blogroll for everyone I'm following? I'd get quick hierarchical links (and moar).

Total futnoe, I love that all I have to do is click the link, and I'm right on the blog, rather than clicking getting a pop up, selecting, then clicking a link, leaving the pop up on my blog page, as I go to the new blog page. (that is best case scenario, still some of you don't have links in your flippin friend connect profile, I really don't know what I'm going to do about that, but it is getting to pathalogical levels of anger  for me)

I've been wondering the same thing. It would be nice to have a mega list!

honestly, i don't really put much thought into it, i just treat it like a hobby, check in every once in a few hours, reward the committed, and keep up with quality posts while looking for new members.

doesn't take long to recognize people who are diligent in supporting your blog, they stick out like beautiful roses among thorns to me. i don't need any system to point them out, they're plain as day.
a "mega list" would be counter productive, as there are only 20+ people who you need to be truly interested in, the rest are temporary.

have fun with it, let the money be a side bonus. you'll grow grey hairs trying to master internet marketing, just enjoy every penny you get.
