Upon special request from the funk gods, KidLogic has blessed SPECOPS Music with a masterfully technical yet laidback funky release for this summer, using bass and space to pull in the listener.
First order up is “Mudpie”; this tune exemplifies KidLogic’s distinctive use of rhythm and bass to create infectious hooks. On first listen it will sound like a hybrid of UK Funky mixed with 2-step elements that have twisted itself back into a mélange of stuttered drum edits. Essential summertime vibes.
Next on the plate is “Problem Solver”; its deep throbbing sub pressure will grab a hold of your bassbins on the first drop and propel you to another dimension. The simple, but effective use of dubbed out stabs and FX give this track a deep techno vibe all its own. Watch out, this number has seen support across the spectrum and has popped up on several Bass Music mixes worldwide.
