It may be a build up of wax which my require to be syringed. I get this quite a bit. Apparently you're not meant to use cotton buds in your ears as it just pushes the wax further down. Booked in on Friday to get mine done again. Had to do it about 18 months ago too. Probably due to all the loud music I am around.
