Feedback for others:

@Akkep: Nice intro and nice drum patterns, I like the minimalism of your track. Althouh something in the main body of the track sounds clunky to me, I think its your kick, although that might just be my headphones.

@Cheeky: I like your intro/build but I'm not a fan of your main synth, to me it just doesn't seem to gel well and seems too flat. Although the melody itself is nice.

@Ematyael: Nice man, I like your percussion especially the panned claps/snaps. Around 1:35 where the new synth comes in it sounds slightly off to me, maybe tone down the synth. Other than that the tracks sounds nice.

@Gramilion: Loving your basses man. Sounds like a decent base for a track, I'd like to hear more.

So I made yet another shitty WIP, I'm too lazy to actually put the time into finishing up a proper track atm lol... I know the main bass synth gets kinda repetitive, and some other stuff needs a lot of work but I like the main body of this track. So any feedback would be awesome:

Mtl6: more action rhythmically. Burial has layers upon layers of movement in his tracks.
Standby: The kick is great. I can’t tell if your automating the pitch or the filter on those pops but sync it up with what the rest of your instruments are doing. Those arpy little stabs that sound like mt. kimbie get repetitive. Also in the end you bring in a new synth (do you know which one I’m talking about? The one that only plays, I think, two notes). That could stand to be warmer imo. Solid stuff though. Very envious of your kick drum.
Ninthy4: not really my thing but I could definitely get down to this out somewhere. The drums I very much liked. If the snare cut through the mix better it would really step hard.
Espy: could you dance to this?
Applewater: what deafblind said. Did you make that bass patch yourself?
Deafblindmusic: I really liked the alternate panning on those white noise hits in the first part, then the bass came and no more. Was it distracting or something? It just felt lots weaker to me. The bassline is solid tho. Intro flows well.
Retop: did you critique three other wips? Liked the d&b sound. The wobbles are silly.
Livedht: your hats are nice, very nice. Snare gets lost once bass enters. The arrangement is straight brostep but honestly I prefer the minimal sorts of buildups like this one to the ridiculously fast kicks going right into the generic filthy drop. The wobbles came across better than most probably because you have a grip on what makes a melody work.
Ematyael: could not dance to this. Work on the flow of the song if that makes sense. Instead of working like an engine the whole thing is locking up on itself. The drums aren’t bad but they get really faint under all that ‘heavy hitting’. I’ll post again later when I can be more constructive.
Gramilion: What is your goal for the track?
Mthrfnk: If you put some incidental sounds in during the beginning and stuttered the drums a bit I think it could be quite nice. Try lowering the main synth that comes in after the drop 2 maybe three octaves. Vocode your audio clips? And mixdown like you said. Also the hats don’t do anything interesting. Could possibly turn into a real banger.

@mtl6 (like-me): i really like the lo-fi sound of this track. i'd like to hear more subtle keys, kind of Nujabes style. i like where it's headed. definitely a track i can just close my eyes, lean back and relax to.

@Standby (sunset-beach): this has a nice atmosphere to it. i'm not huge on that synth coming in around :42, but that's my shitty opinion and doesn't mean you should take it out. have you tried pitch-shifting the snaps a bit and alternating them? another chill tune, good job.

@ninthy4 (desperados-wip2): loving the spor-like bass. the intro was definitely a slap in the face compared to the two previous tracks i just listened to. but, in a good way ;-) i couldn't help but stare at your avatar while listening to this tune, haha. over all nice feel, snare feels a tad on the weak side. but, if you say there's a lot more to do then i'll be keeping an eye out. nice one.

@Applewater (track-1-wip1-): not bad at all, i really like the opening drum pattern. you did well on the bass, i especially like the reverbed hollow bits of it, if you get what i mean. the drums do tend to get a bit lost.

@deafblindmusic (boolean-illogic-wip): nice build up, took me in a different direction than i thought it was going, but i like surprises. i really like those sudden stops in the bass lines, also the shuffling sounds in the back towards the end are very nice. good job.

here's a track i'm currently working on. i was going for a dark, ambient feel. ignore the opening kicks and white noise, i know it needs to be removed. any feedback is appreciated.

@chroma: it gets better towards the end. maybe it's because i've been drinking but I feel that I get exactly what you're trying to do here. I'm trying to do the same thing (I think). But this is dance music bro. The best tracks are dark but groovy. You've got the dark, now get groovy. Not being lame intentionally. What I mean is work on the drums. You lfo work is sloppy and dark tracks need (tend to be) more oriented on the low end of the spectrum. imo don't rework this-- just write another track and post it for feedback. welcome.

wizardd - dude nice track but kik is abit muddy in the mix try layering with a kik that has abit more punch arround 800-1k if needed even had a sub heavy snare to beef it up or try transiant shaping , but bass sounds cool nice and big , nice work

influx - nice one dude, seem to have a pretty good mixdown might wanna try Glitching ur melo at 1:02 and add some sort of corus modulation or automoation or even automate the unison to make a tad more interesting;)

mthrfnk - dude i think the kik might have abit too much sub init and pad could do with a 1/2 sidechain

Chroma - bass sound allight kik could do with a layer or some wave shaping and EQ lol to make abit punchier allso might wanna take some of the lower freq out of it to0, sound prety experemental tho ;)

@Standby Where is the feedback you was supposed to give?

@Chroma_ Feel like the percussion could have been more interesting the first minute. The bass was kinda harsh, dont know if u were going for that. Overall good track, not much left before you're finished I think :D

@ mthrfnk The intro was really not my style, if I were u I would change it.. And wasnt a fan of the no snare pattern.. Drop was not bad, maybe turn down the white noise. Maybe turn down the reverb on the vocals. :)

@ Gramilion Sounded a bit random, I think u should place some of the sounds a little bit better. I don't know what else to say than keep working on it :D

Was not really gonna post this here, but .. It's a old WIP I started working on again, think I've posted it here before too. Would love to know what you guys think :)

THANKS FOR ALL THE FEEDBACK. i will get to people i've missed

@blinkesko........lol, Keep your tampon in. i didn't realise you couldn't delete posts. i was trying to get the soundcloud mini player widget to work but it fucked up. not really a fan of this style but if you make that deeper main synth sound a bit lighter, try and get some nice vocals in there and tidy up the mix it could be good. apart from where you fuck with the rhythm i like it. but either way the mix needs attention.

@Ezzcal .......1:51 - 2:18 is bangin. not to keen on the trancy parts but i reckon if you use that bit as a basis for the track it wouls be siiiick. nice

@tuckerlinen...... if you're talking about keeping the pitch of the pops in key with everything else then that sounds like it could work. i know they sound a bit strange. Big shout. cheers

@Chroma..... nice one. i like everything after the 3:53 mark but beforehand aint so special in my opinion. it could be alot more chilled and just gradually build up to that point. theres a couple of sounds that are quite harsh. little tidy up of the mix would be a good idea. i like it though.

sorry if feedback is vague, i'm tired!

standby-reallin diggin that sunset tune

blinkesko- the track is a little too hectic for my linking, the crazy amount of kicks make it hard for the track to flow for me..it might be a wild track to play live tho

chroma - id change either the sound or velocity of one of the earlier snare hits, maybe add some more reverb to it..

heres my WIP, just pulled an all nighter on this and definitely need some other ears on this because i definitely listened to it way too many times ha..it needs to be mixed better and i want to quantize the bassline in the drop a little differently

@hendy good tune, you should make the drop more relevant (if im using that word right) give it more punch with some kind of a build up, i like the intro so dont trow it away just drop it out a little have a drum build up then DROP.

@blinkesko i love it the drums are awsome but right when it drops the bass (not sub) gets quieter idk why but I would like it better if you changed it. but niiiiice tune

@ezzcal :o nuff said

@chromai like it and y do you need to get rid of the kicks and white noise keep um. i love the dark deep feel of it

now mine. i got inspired by flux pavilion bass cannon. tell me what you think.

Ninthy: I love the percussion. Produced very well. A+

Dmisreal: I like the song structure but some of the basses are too overpowering. I think the 2nd drop could be sick with some changes to the bass patch/mastering.

Hendy: I agree with dm it needs to hit harder. Very nice concept though.

Tell me what to improve, keep the "that's nice" to a minimum :P
That sub line in the end IS A SINE but I put a high passed triangle wave on top to make it a tad more audible without taking from the subbyness.

@Hendy..... really nice track. got an sort of 80's feel to it. don't like the agressive bass synth at all though. i don't think the track needs it. sick sample. new favourite!

@jimbeaux..... recent project- i reckon that would be sick in a club. needs more snare though in my opinion. heavy track!

@lowphat.....Asleep - deep track! just needs beefing up a bit in the mix in my opinion

Got 3 WIP's. feedback on at least 1 of them would be appreciated
