I will be going home to visit! :corndance:
Where did you live in Seattle? I lived in the burbs - Mountlake Terrace/Lynnwood.
I was a rebel and by 15, I was out of the house. I lived in Rainier Ave for the most part.
Gosh, I can't believe that was half of my life ago.

@mks - yeah! It used to be $10 bucks for 3 days.

I know that question was directed at Esfandyar, but I just moved from Seattle in July after being there for the last 15 years. I lived on Capitol Hill for the last 8 years.

Lived there when I was a kid until about 98', right on the border of Redmond and Bellevue. I could have thrown a rock at Microsoft. There was this immense forest that use to surround it, kin of like a barrier between my neighborhood and their property. now they have bulldozed it all down to expand last I heard. I remember every summer in august me and my mom would walk around everywhere and pick blackberries to make blackberry pies. I lived also maybe a 10 minute walk to marrymore park. I was too young to appreciate any nightlife stuff, but I had so many good memories as a child.

mks- my sis is moving to capital hill in November.

My nephew starts secondary school this week and he was born in 2000.

Also when completing forms I now have to tick 25-34 instead of 16-24.

I used to work in Broadway at Sam Goody when it used to be right beside Urban Outfitters. When the other branch of Cellophane Square (record store) was at the southern end. When Orpheum (another record store) was at the northern end of Broadway. When an independent dnb record/clothing label was across it, beside what used to be Film Stop (which I also worked for a bit), by the old Mimi's Cafe which is now a Thai joint. So many changes! I loved Capitol Hill.

The fact that we had to learn about everything firsthand when we were kids, now there seems to be website explaining everything like sex, drugs, homosexuality - the list goes on.

There's plenty of threads on here from people who have only just seen La Haine, In Bruges, or City of God, and suddenly think it is the coolest film ever and naively ask if anyone else has seen it. Like they've just discovered a rare secret. Sometimes it annoys me and I'll make my usual cynical remark but mostly I think, "bless their little cotton socks."
sometimes i'm like that, i'll admit, even though im 14. like i'll get annoyed if my friend's like "hey you should see this movie called A Clockwork Orange, it's really good" because i saw that movie for the first time in like 5th grade. i know it's not their fault i just get annoyed anyway. :)

I remember feeling old when all my friends were down with Spongebob, and I thought it was too kiddy. I was 11.

I miss recording tapes off the radio. I miss it so much :(

Guess I was 6. Struggling to watch this now, used to love it though.

The show I do miss though is Ed, Edd & Eddy.

And Samurai Jack!
