Brilliant producer. Bit of an enigma. Pretty sure he djed (perhaps peeps in Norhants will know?)though I don't claim I went to any of his sessions mind. His music had a big part in getting me into jungle/dnb and then UKG. The original beatmaster - tunes that exuded a perfect balance and understated cool ! Total respect to the man.

Try contacting Phantasy - he knows him I think

Gurley, Chris Mac & Zed Bias are the originators from that era imo. So many BIG tunes, still looking for a lot of them.

I read an interview couple years back where he was sayin that he started getting bored of garage while it was losing it's more musical side, or something along the lines. I'm not really feelin his output in the last few years but no deny he's been a legend for 15+ years.

As for Mr.Gurley, I think my favorites are his later tunes, specially when he and Al Brown got together, like Killin Me on the flip of Walk on by or those Troublesome remixes :!:

I dare say his always been around (just not under his name) you will be amazed how many people out there re-create themselve in other genres

P.S i dont know that for fact but just look how many big producers from other genres created psudnom's (spelling).

Absolute legend. I was so psyched when Roll was announced; despite the considerable hype it got, I still felt there wasn't enough haha.
