seriously thats the pinnacle of hipsterism, there's nothing redeeming about it.
you obviously didnt grow up watching back to the future.
...i pity you, poor soul.
i did but still, just because it's retro and taps into our childhood memories doesn't mean it's good. it's gimmicky at best, but wearing a barbie t-shirt with NO HOMO written across it with a marker is gimmicky too. doesn't mean i wouldn't feel the urge to slap the wearer across the face.
i bet at least 90% of the people buying these for several thousand dollars will look like him:
and wear them at art exhibitions* where they'll rave on about how they're against the establishment and shit.
and by art exhibitions i mean stuff drawn with a ballpoint pen during boring uni lectures, this actually happened here

wow, you are bitter, you sound like Firky
they look cool, the gimmick is great for sure, but anything over £200 is laughable

You know hasezwei, you actually sound like you desperately want a pair, but you don't dare to admit it.
You don't even dare to admit it to yourself, so you became bitter.
Bitter. Try to bring the shoes in disrespect.
But every time you see a picture of them.
You feel your heart skip a beat...
Desire....
Burning you up from the inside...
Great scott!

Meh. I think these are even too hipster-ironic to be hipster. Proper comic-nerd shoes. WHY?!
I wouldn't wear these for the same reason I wouldn't walk around the real world in a Darth Vader cape. There's a very important distinction between fashion and costume.

i thought they announced this right off the bat? when i heard about them, i automatically assumed they wouldn't auto-lace. that's nike's forte, they pull you in with the notion of something being cool, but once you get past the bells and whistles, it's still just a poorly made pair of shoes that will literally crumble to pieces in less than a year. now as far as owning a pair, yeah a cool idea to donate a bunch of the proceeds to the mjfox charity, but really? for christ sakes they look terrible, and i've though that since i originally saw the movie.
