Dre Studio Cans Vs. Sennheiser HD25 MKII's. Dre cans lose ..

Post by GV1 » Tue Sep 13, 2011 7:32 pm

So, I got both pairs. And after 2 weeks with the Dre cans over my HD25's I can honestly say the Dre's suck.

At high volumes the Dre's distort elements of the track. The audio quality isn't as good. On my iMac, iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S all show distortion on the Dre's at max volume playing tracks purchased from iTunes (Adele, Ed Sheeran, S.O.D 3, and others). Switch to the HD25's and clarity is crystal clear.

Battery life is stupid on them too. They also leak sound very bad.

I had an argument with a family member who swore by these before I bought them. He must have poor ears, because he couldn't hear the distortion at higher volumes even though I could.

I got them for my girl, but she don't like them. Back to the shop with these over rated, over hyped, fashion statement cans.

Lmao, imagining someone saying "wooly hat" is funny as shit XD.

But no, I wasn't naked, or play World Of Warcraft. I just wasn't wearing a shirt, and I was posing for a good Facebook pic.

I've got Sony XB500's, I recommend them to anyone who wants to buy the dre cans. Sound quality is better, they have lots of bass but not like "wtf is this shit?" SUPER comfortable, the cups are like 1 inch foam donuts covered in suede. They go completely around your ears and rest on your head so there's nothing actually pushing in on your ears. The cord is short like a Porsche driver's dick though. Drives me mad sometimes. It's the perfect length for walking with an ipod though so you don't have a ton of cord tangled up in your pocket. When I stand up it reaches down to just below my knee (whoah not the first time I've said that phrase...)
