FREE ENTRY PARTY
Sept 23, 9pm-3am, Riki Tiks, Brighton, Bond Street
MLR + Bobby Tank + Manni Dee + Ghost Mutt + Grinel
Synth/Bass/Beats
...
After a nice long rest from running club nights to concentrate more on releasing records, we return to the dancefloor in September with a bi-monthly FREE ENTRY residency at Riki Tiks (which has recently undergone a tasty re-furb and an injection of bass). We welcome two more Brighton debuts for MLR, editor of the outstanding Sonic Router blog, and Bobby Tank, whose astrological funk and raging synthlines have been creating quite a stir on the internet. Joining these two will also be local lad Manni Dee and Donky Pitch resident Grinel.
MLR

Oli Marlow is one of dance musics coolest nerds, his in depth knowledge and dedication to our scene runs second to none. His excellent Sonic Router blog started from humble beginnings only a few years ago and is now a well respected voice in the electronic world, hosting mixes and interviews from the bass music elite and even going on to curate the third room at Fabric where Oli himself has held down deck duties on numerous occasions. Add to that a monthly radio show packed full of the latest dubs and a sideline in cheeky skweee productions that have recently seen release, it becomes clear that this man's talent runs deep.
Bobby Tank

Bobby Tank hails from North London, where he spends his time squeezing funk filled synthlines over heaving drum beats. Working across tempos, Bobby’s sound effortlessly ranges from sumptious modern boogie to synth driven bangers and his productions have found home on the Project Mooncircle label amongst others. I can’t remember the last time we did a radio show without dropping one of his tracks; so we are mega excited to bring this unique talent to Brighton.
Manni Dee (live)

With releases on Vermin Street and Saturate Records Manni's experimental hip hop productions have found their way into mixes by Starkey and Kutmah, as well scoring him numerous sets around Brighton and London.
Ghost Mutt

If you know us you know our resident Ghost Mutt, whose ruddy awesome tracks (as featured on our debut release alongside Slugabed) are whipping up a storm in the beats stratosphere. Expect sparkling synth arpeggios, chunky rhythms, chopped up divas and dirty bass.
Grinel

Dave Grinnell is one half of the Donky Pitch management team. He loves a good synth line. Expect low bpm bangers rubbed up against hip hop heaters.
