jamie roberts aka blawan appeared seemingly from nowhere last year with the explosive fram/iddy release on the hessle audio imprint. catching everyone off guard with his addictively stripped back and uncompromising riddims, blawan has since cemented his place in the pantheon of uk dance music with the acid-scarred bohla ep on r&s and inclusion on hessle's 116 and rising c...ompilation, with a cheeky white label remix of brandy's 'i wanna be down' thrown in for good measure. a collaboration with pariah under the 'karenn' moniker has already yielded a remix of west norwood cassette library and blawan will no doubt be showcasing more from this partnership on the night, as well as upcoming r&s release, the moodymann-sampling 'what you do with what you have' which will be landing on wax on september 26th.

blawan will be going back to back for the last two hours with heard it through the bassline regular bake, the 'wegie yout with a passion for all things detroit. as well as being possessed with phenomenal dj skills bake co-runs the allcaps label which is on the cusp of a pair of highly anticipated releases, with alex coulton and helix set to be bringing the heat outta glasgow in the very near future. look out for a guest appearance on hessle audio's rinse fm show as well.
