This mix was based on the idea that there are a lot of rock/metalkids out there that love this dark and wobbly world of dub - they just don't know it yet. I've listened to punk and hardcore my whole life, so I know where they're coming from. An old friend of mine has always been a hardcore-guy and is pretty clear on his view of electronic music - he basically thinks it's shit. So when he told me that he'd listened to "The Coulrophilia Mix" and actually liked parts of it, I was all like whUUT? And there are many more like him out there. All they need is an introduction, so I went and did this mix in order to be... well, a missionary. And now you can too! All you have to do is play this for your metal-friends and wait for the moment you can utter the most beautiful sentence in the world: "I fucking told you so".
