It's odd how the audience has gone up while the output's been getting progressively worse. Can't think of any outstanding tv they've put out in years. Their documentaries generally wouldn't challenge a foetus and they're news is getting progressively more sensationalist.
Hmm....

Not to mention a hefty fine or going to jail if they don't pay it

Thank God for that - the last thing one needs is some privately owned channel / corporation like Fox / Sky etc throwing down its neo-con cr*p. Long live the Beeb.

BBC America etc are full of comercials/adverts. which sucks.
the one thing i used to love about the bbc was u could watch a show from start to finish no interuptions.

I guess that's what u get for ur buck.
oh and all your bbc radio stations.

in holland (and other places) u can watch bbc1 bbc2 etc no adverts at all an stuff
now how come they dont have to pay?
in truth i like the bbc programming more than most drivel thats on the box
but the whole only the uk peeps pay i think is a bit of a piss-take when other countries can watch it for free (and it means you cant even have a computer screen without a tv license! even if you dont watch telly!)

*rant over*
