There was gaga and britney pseudo-dubstep a couple of years ago anyway. One of their new tracks has some half time dubsteppish breakdown in it. Rusko worked with Britney Spears I think too?

A lot of people were worried breakcore would hit the mainstream too when this happened.

it would be nice to see someone dancing to dubstep without resorting to the robot for once
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

It's been pretty mainstream as far as TV folks being interested

I signed rights for culprates tunes to the BBC to be used on SYTYCD and some forthcoming series about the most deadly places on the planet.

Documentary-step imo

it wasn't really about money more about exposure. The SYTYCD thing was big because its dance oriented and gives credit for the artist in the end credits.... so Culprate got his name on the screen and was heard by probably a million folks... it also listed my management group in the credits. Was a no brainer.

Still pretty cool that TV is recognizing that dubstep speaks to a lot of people and is popular enough to be used by some pretty hefty production companies

Glitch Mob have some tune on some sports advertisement I saw recently. I think it was sports, or maybe a camera I dunno. Some guy in a kayak or something. Not into that style of music anyway, but I think it's nice there's these opportunities now for such different kinds of music to get out there. Gameshows will always be lame no matter what music they use though haha.

edit: Oh it was one of these, pretty sure there was a kayak one too though:
