big events are allowed to have a roll call thread on the main forum. this has been the policy since 2005. we define a "big event " as birthday/anniversary nights , charity/fundraisers and the like.
never seen that written down anywhere tbf mate
pretty sure ive seen stuff get locked but i guess it depends what youre gonna class as a big event
fwd is a small event but that gets a roll call

i just explained what we class as a big event. you were involved in a charity night in croydon, and we allowed that thread to roll call on the main forum here. DMZ or FWD or any of the other big nights that have birthdays always have huge threads on the main forum. our own DSF event night had a massive roll call thread here as well.
regardless of your selective memory on the rules, its been the case since 2005. if you've got any further issues with that, take it up with dubway.

As much as I have no love for the DMA's, what they represent or indeed the sound they're purporting to be Dubstep. This whinging is boring and not going to change anything. IMO. Either vote for Mala or shut up, or even better, don't vote, don't go, don't spend any money and stop bumping the promo for a huge financially secure event.

you do realise that if you hadn't bumped this and they did it would break a rule and I could close this god forsaken thread? but now it drags on.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

3 bumping posts in a row in a promo thread is a lock. It's in the rules, I think!
£10 bag - lol at thinking I give two shits. just thought after 27 pages of members whinging and crying they'd be up for seeing the end of it.

Best comment in the thread.
Of course everyone is welcome to their opinion and I've enjoyed reading most of the level headed comments. I'm not a huge fan of any type of award ceremony for any type of art but at least its got a pretty nice lineup. DSF obviously leans towards one end of the spectrum but there will be plenty of more run of the mill mid-range Dubstep and I hope they have a great time. Thats what I really think it comes down to. People listen to music for pleasure and if the people that go enjoy the event thats all you could ask for. Respect.
