I wouldn't be so surprised personally, France are a quality side. To their credit the Canadian loose forward trio have been punching well above their weight in their two games. I'm going to the Canada/Japan game later on this month, which will hopefully be another nailbiter. I'm also going to the NZ/Canada game in Wellington early next month, which will be about as close as the NZ/Japan the other night.

France > Tonga, for the most part.

Thought Canadians did well against France, but in the end the gulf showed.

I didn't actually see the game (it was at some weird time here), and tbh didn't know France was that good lol. Thats fair enough then.

In other news at the US vs Russia game...

Went to the Japan v Tonga game last night. Pretty good game but some shit calls from the ref and sloppy hands from the Japanese turned what could have been a real contest into a solid win for the Tongans.

yeah, enough penalties/cards in that game?? had tonga by 13+ on the multi though so worked out well.

new zealand v france should be interesting. the all blacks will get up but should be good to see how well our best side (finally) gels. dagg at fullback is a good call. our backline is full of fire

word, it's ridiculous. even the bench is loaded with firepower and even if we get swamped with injuries we still have a few guys floating about that could slot in nicely and still carve up.

for once our backline is actually legit... hopefully (and i pray to dear jesus) that they dont put SBW on the field for this game, for some reason i can see an intercepted try from one of his flick passes

He'll get on with 20 to go. We'll be up by 30+ at that stage though.

bloody hope we'll be up by that much... i really dont trust these french guys though, but i highly doubt that there will be any sort of an upset (especially with the 'secondstring' team they've decided to select)

yeah, this. with nonu in such amazing form, smith solid as ever, and jane kahui and dagg all so exciting, i don't think this will be much of a contest. sbw will get a token run i imagine

NZ vs France was a decent game, not quite the blowout that the media have made it out to be though....

Georgia vs. Romania, the clash of the minnows on tonight! Hopefully it'll be a goodie.

Japan really should have defeated Canada last night...

LOLOLOLOLOL @ Scotland, they just threw away a sure victory. Who was the village idiot that put that bomb up? What little hair the Scottish coach Andy Robinson has left will be gone by tomorrow.

Big up Tonga for downing the French as well.

Yeah you're right we do have oodles of guys ready to back up. I suppose it makes todays game against Canada more important, getting guys some game time before the finals. Personally I hope they'll bring Cruden into the fold sooner rather than later.
