HOW CAN I GET THIS "PUSH PULL EFFECT" IN MY BREAKDOWNS?
OK I've been hitting this shit as hard as i can and my music is getting to a point where i want to release it to everyone but the one thing i cant understand is this "Push Pull Effect". Seems like after the bass drop you hear the synth raise up or down ? Is that a pitch or velocity raise ? Either Way the main thing is i want the alternation of the wobbles to be secure. I started re-sampling but so far it sounds a minor bit better. Im wondering if there's some type of automation im missing like a filter cut off or env mod or something or other. Please if someone could help me understand id much appreciate it. Thanks

I don't think anyone really has a clue as to what you're talking about. Be more articulate, post an example of what you're trying to achieve, etc.

Re: HOW CAN I GET THIS "PUSH PULL EFFECT" IN MY BREAKDOWNS?
Im fairly new to this forum so uploading is going to take me time. Mainly its when im switching wobbles because i use like 4-5 in a breakdown i want them to flow as they alternate to one another. Does that help ?
Re: HOW CAN I GET THIS "PUSH PULL EFFECT" IN MY BREAKDOWNS?
If you automate the rate control on the lfo they should transition smoothly. If not, try resampling them and lining them up so the filter movements are smooth. If all else fails, automate the filter by hand.

Im going to try that now i just thought there was a effect on doing so. Like a env mod on the attack or pitch or velocity. Also do you know how to get the synth hits to sound like there being pitched up and down? Sad to say like when skrillex goes in to his BD's ?
Re: HOW CAN I GET THIS "PUSH PULL EFFECT" IN MY BREAKDOWNS?
Are you talking about the pumping sound from sidechain compression?

No i understand side chaining. More like when the synth hits and sounds like the pitch is being slightly raised and lowered before the wobble starts.

threads where no given example, and people trying to explain what they want, but failing - fail.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Ya I think so. As the lfo is lowering the pitch it gives it that slowdown effect, what I think of as the pushing. Then when the lfo pulls the the pitch back up you get that pulling effect, kind of like slowing down and speeding up a record with your finger. Of course that's all in theory since I've never actually tried it.WassaWobbles wrote:Is this the automation atticue was talking about?
