im kinda confussed as to what the oscillator phases do.... anyone experienced with them? This is located in the OSC window, near the vibrato and pitchbend functions
thanks

Re: NI massive Oscillator Phases....
Controls the phase of each osc, and determines whether the oscs restart on each note or not...
hard to explain what that means i guess... Make a detuned, reese bass, and set it to not restart, and itll continue to detune over your entire line, vs. if you do set it to restart, it will go back to the beginning of the reese...
Reeses are just a fancy phase reaction actually, so thats a good way to get you the fundamental idea...
Read up on phase/time/frequency relations and itll make ALOT more sense, Im not really qualified to get too deep into it... up your understanding of how sound in general works on a physics level too, trippy stuff... wikipedia is great, and if you get deep into the mixing/mastering thread theres some discussion worth reading.

Re: NI massive Oscillator Phases....
its good to have it checked when you make a low freq sound like sub, gets rid of clicks. With reeces its better to have it unchecked. when you start all those saws at the same time you get some sort of attack and it really changes your sound for the worse

Have you played notes with it on and off, what did you hear?
