And why just because they do very little with the vocal is it shit? Some of the best tunes ever made were 3 chord riffs or samples repeated over and over again.

I think the problem is, since the vocals are talking about love all the hard men out there can't handle it, think it's cheesy or 'gay'. Jokers.

Just a little comparison - Coki's refix of Richie Spice's Marijuina was devastatingly simple and did very little with the vocal. But because that is talking about smoking weed it's cool.

Remember, big men can love as welll as rumble.

Large up Coki. Bringing a bit of diveristy to the reggae vocal rip that dubstep is currently languishng in.

Big up Delendi, you know Minnie is the best.
Word!
plus, it brings the girls down the dance!

i know that comparison will have its limits but it's just like shy fx' Shake your body. Yes it's not Big Bollock Bizniz, but remember: half of human are women, and they don't care for the bollok contest! :) And you want them on the dancefloor.

So cool! Let's sample love song.
It diversify of the "crack bong", "this is pure 100% columbian coca", "kill dem" and so on.

...
"we don't want no war toniiight"

Markle man your spot on bruv. Very well said.

Sch_pr i cannot stand that comment of female vocal = instant hit with the ladies & more girls ... ARRRGHHHHHHHHH!! Piss Off! Literally shut up and eat them words please..... actually does my head in when i hear that comment, and it always comes from guys.
So stereotypical and generalizing..... most of my gal mates love dub reggae, my best mate cressida is into limewax and Aron Specre (www.myspace.com/aaronspectre - sooo dark!)

i like my beats dirty and my basslines heavy..... so do most of the females i know.

*end of rant*

Which Minnie Riperton song are the vocals from? I have yet to hear this track. Are there any mixes available for d/l that include it?

Fair enough,
Sorry for the cliché!

I would have like to temperate what i said, but my english vocabulary's still too poor.

As a matter of fact, I wasn't so radical.
I like ruff beats, my gf like ruff beats.i was just ponting out that "bad boy" attitude.

Few years ago there was that thing in dnb in france: if you'd play a girl voiced track, you'd get the usual comments that goes: "you play comercial stuff, this is rnb shit, we only love underground sound, and so on". Fuck that! If i wanna play some girl-voiced track, i'll do it. And if you like it just move your body! Who cares!

This is not a war game, this is Dance music!
I want to party, not to fight!

But i'm going kinda far & off topic...

Sorry for having some of you ranting

It was ORIGINAL, DIVERSE, QUIRKY, RaNDOM and got a reaction!

I dont really care wot people think, I just do what I like. If you like it then cool if not then cool, I dont give a ballbag! Im cool either way.

It wasnt a tune you could drop at every rave. It had to fit in to the feel of the time that it was dropped, eg out of the right tune etc. Some raves I knew the crowd wanted it dark and dirty so i would leave it in the bag but other raves (like FWD>> where u can be experimetal) Id drop it!

You could do sick mixes with it to! and it gave a space between bassline rinse outs! and create impact on the next tune!

I like tunes that create disscussion! I knew it would get a mixed reponse, it was one of those quirky tunes that added character! It also made people from other genres say 'Wow! who made this? whats this music?'

Thats why i thought it deserved a place on Dubstep Allstars cos its different and diverse!

What some people dont like others will love.

I like it that producers are trying out new things!!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this and anything else but I never what producers to stop being creative cos someone says...

"blah blah blah its got to have beats like this, or bass like that, or you cant do this you cant do that..."

I love creativitiy! If it sound good its good!

Big up Coki everytime! Heavy producer!

i love it on allstars, i was really happy to hear it. i think those of us who were raised on reggae and dub feel close to dubstep tunes that sample it, whether they're about weed or love. but obviously we weren't all raised on lovers rock, so we aint all gunna love this!

is minnie riperton 'lover's rock?' really?

i just don't know about this tune, i like the original, have huge respect for minnie riperton, anyone into dance music will, but this tune just seems lazy to me

large up to coki for trying something different though.....

What's happened to opened arms for the diversity of dubstep?

Oh and Shake Your Body used to go off in dances, I'm talking pre-chart business too.

I can't believe people are actually hating on this tune.

*shakes head in disappointment*
