to all those getting R1 play - are you registered with PRS??

registration can take a little while, but you can backdate claims for royalty payments I think, worth doing perhaps??

the PRS is the Performers' Rights Society, part of the PRS/MCPS Alliance which is an organisation set up to recoup and distribute royalties to writers, performers and publishers of musical recordings.

The PRS specifically collects license fees from venues like pubs & clubs, and also commercial radio/TV stations - they compile lists of all music that is played and distribute the royalties (mostly made up from the license fees) to the artists, usually depending on how much their music has been played and where/when.

You have to be a member of course, otherwise you don't get jack.
