yeah most of his material is definately not 'get it' on the first listen type stuff. alot of those doods from the D get pretty astral voodoo in their productions. like techno versions of Sun Ra. many of the patterns are not hook based but kinda more textural?

The one for me...
This whole album is full of killer tunes.. Reaffirming my belief in Omar after catching him at Boiler Room couple few weeks back!
edit: this sort of makes it sound like his set at BR wasn't excellent. Let me restate: it was excellent. The album just amplifies my respect for the man

same, one of my most loved 12"s. Got that and Kyle Hall - Down! through the post on the same day last year/year before (from discogs) and play them nearly every time I'm on my decks, stunning tracks!
