There also used to be a similar staple of El Dorado or EL D which was similarly fucking awful. The problem, I think, used to be that although off licences were licensed to sell alcohol from 8am they couldn't sell spirits till after 12 so a lot of problem drinkers would start with the stronger wines when the shops opened.

That said Ozzie whites and Thunderbird are also rank but would have been drank pretty frequently in England by a similar fraternity.

I don't know too mahy Scots but I have many many Irish aquaintances and Bucky has a certain reputation over there

Live aprox 5 miles away from ware this stuff originates from... Buckfastleigh in Devon. See it around but isnt that common compared to scotland
