Liam, I used to study 5-7 hours (+3 hours fucking about) after a 5 hour lecture when I was in nursing school. I stayed in the library//coffee shop for most of my college years. It was tough, but I think once you're out of pathophysiology, you'll get a breather. I had 3 semesters of pathophys and luckily, it was done one after the other. There's no set techniques in studying pathophys, really.

This forum helps too. Some links do not work anymore, but a lot of them still do. Get your A & P down, especially physiology! This link may help but if you are just like me, my brain isn't content with another person's study guide. I skim through it and I take the ones I don't have and put it in my own study guide.

Group study did not work for me. I've tried and ended up wasting time and just chatting. It might work for you. I did have cohorts around who worked by themselves and would ask each other questions if needed. Drawing pictures (even if it looked shit) worked for me and I think I had ten shades of highlighter. I did quite a lot of pedigree charts too. We had pdf and ppt in every section of the module, I rewrote all of them because it stuck longer since my brain worked twice (reading and rewriting). This served as my study guide. Fuck mental notes, write everything.

Good luck with school guys.

Audiometry class giving me a headache so early in the morning. I need to take it! I wish someone told me this when I was in college. I could have taken it then! $600!!! Fuck me!

With you on that one mate. Especially one module I blagged last year without really learning it. Need to change some seriously unhelpful habits! What you studying?
Totally hit me that I can't just expect to only attend classes, do no extra reading or work and get by, not gonna happen this year! :( Nursing, yourself?
Yeah that's the thing, self motivation is kinda essential. I'm doing Audio Design. Good luck to ya :W:

Tune in your sig is quite nice man. There ain't nothing wrong with you mate, keeping up a consistent creative output over a long period is a pretty rare achievement for anyone. Hopefully you can look back at the tunes you've made and be proud of your output. In saying that, writing music is something you can always pick up again with some ease if you find your creative juices flowing all of a sudden.

Thanks that's some good advice. Its not my usual style, got some liquid dnb stuff and ambient hip-hop on my soundcloud if your interested. I think maybe im trying too hard, although i think alot of my creative inspiration came from a certain girl i used to be with a long time ago, that was when i wrote 75% of my stuff. Since things went to shit with her so did my music.

Although on a positive side, since then i've been djing alot and reguarly gig, so its not all bad. :)

that burial/massive attack record being 25quid.. why do they need to make it so expensive, limited and special for? I don't give a fuck about a glittery sleeve or hand numbered records. I just really love that paradise circus remix.. I don't want to buy it just because it's burial. And I would actually play it.
the stupid hipsters can have it..

Sooooo much shit.

-Credit rating company falsely claimed that I have a CCJ under my name, which has completely fucked me getting a house in Brighton, but just got it sorted it out now.
-Slagging myself out to a commercial shitstep club night in Brighton because I need the dollar.
-My girlfriend is moving to Brighton following my move there, which is pranging me out, but also making me happy.
-Homeless until the 24th, so have to stay in London, despite committing myself to moving to Brighton - having to commute down every week to DJ down there.
-The place I did get is right above a fancy restaurant, which we only just noticed after giving in the holding deposit, so I'm absolutely horrified that I might not be able to play any music during the day.
-Just graduated from uni and need to find myself a job to pay the rent, and my loans back asap. If I can't find myself a job, I'm fucked.

None of them are too big a deal, but all of it bunched together is just stressing me out beyond belief.

A youtuber just effectively told me that RSD makes dub and if I want to hear actual dubstep then to check out Skrillex and Cookie Monsta. My fault for responding to the ignorant twats that comprise youtube comment sections I suppose.
