looking for a quick, summed up explanation

i'm just wondering how all you bro-step producers create your fat, industrial, testosterone-pumped, chaotically modulated "bass" sounds (the ones that sound like screeching robots and such.)

i am personally into real "dubstep" - pangaea, untold, etc etc.

i am not a fan of the american sound which is really just electronic metal/hardcore (IMO), and i think that all these bro-step songs are pretty much the same, BUT i am curious as to how you synthesize such a sound?

Take several harsh-sounding waveforms and detune them over octaves and a few cents. Add a few resonant notch filters and slowly sweep them across the frequency spectrum. Split the frequencies (optional), then add FX chain(s) with stuff like chorus, reverb, short delays, multiple types of distortion, stereo enhancers, etc. and add LFO's and other automation sources onto the parameters of the different effects. Resample and make a melody with lots of portamento and pitch bend. Add a low-pass filter and modulate the cutoff to wake it wobble. Make a few different variations of the melody, process them in different ways, and arrange them/layer them into a cool drop sequence. Add a sine wave underneath. Practice this a bunch until you're capable of making sounds that don't sound like shit.

Also found that there are masterclasses form the likes of Rusko and such as well if ya search for em. If nothing else they're awesome for simply seeing the equipment and way in which other producers work. And Rusko seems like a total stoner. Cool guy though.
