Looking for writers...

Post by Alistairr » Tue Oct 11, 2011 2:00 pm

for my blog, who like experimental music mainly, im a huge fan of netlabels for example, im not expecting essays, just if u find something interesting and u want to share it, then share it!

http://blog.thebohemianclub.org/

excuse the bio, writing about urself is probably the hardest thing ot do.

anyhow im setting it up so i can be admin, and others can write etc, so if ur interested let me no...

i think its an inside joke? mainly cause of brostep, skillaz and that blogger from america asking for dirty/filthy dubstep.....i jsut didnt want to be associated with that,as im relatively new to the forum....

you give very little information in your promotion and instead pass it off as not being "american" and therefore worthy of this forum's viewing. correlating brostep with being american is fundamentally incorrect. when posting information about your blog, I'm more interested in hearing more about what sort of subjects it addresses, not HOW you disassociate yourself from something you dislike. what if i made a blog asking for input regarding upcoming and existing american producers like the widdler, commodo, or DJG? would you immediately disregard it because it's "american?"

i mean, joe nice is from Baltimore...just sayin'

im not tryign to promote anything though, im simply looking for writers, it was a joke chillout man :)

im sure there are plenty of good tastemakers from USA, in fact its a shame ur rep is tarnished by those v. people/stuff

but anyhow, blog is half a promotional tool for my releases, (and anyone elses, if they have any and wana write) and half a proper blog, covering all sorts of music, that is mainly experimental in nature as i already mentioned or in the very least credible, in the strictest sense possibel.

i would like a tastemaker basically. someone who is tired of reading crap on blogs.

why would anyone share information on a blog that serves you as opposed to sharing within a community?

any writers, who wana join have to make a mix to show off their good taste, this will seperate the men from the boys and it cant just be dubstep, as that is too easy....leave links here...

here is an example of one i made for my dreamscape radio show

Soundcloud

this is will not only prove that u are the tastemaker u think u are but will show ur depth in taste and most of all an ability to contribute to my radio show too!

if u think making a 30 min mix is too much effort, then either ur not passionate enough for my liking or plain lazy when it comes to music.

everything cool??? :4:

im trying to build some sort of community so its not all about me, hence the website name, the bohemian club, u will get ur own bio section too, dont worry.

yeah what's your email? also is there a way for my column to mirror my current tumblr blog? that would be cool if i could post it to that and it would get channeled over to your site.
