Is there any dubstep that is not so minimal?

I just got into dubstep (Total NOOB), but have listen to Drum and Bass, and hip hop for years. I love the amount of bass in dubstep but feel that from listening to acts such as current value, the roots, noisia, teebee, and dylan rymes that the beat is not very complex. This does not bother me but it is taking time for me to get use to in production. All my "dubstep" is around 90 bpm with a lot of subs and a lot of use of pianos, breaks, and any other thing that helps everything else.

My question:
Should I worry about being to complex in dubstep or should I fill it up (Low passed reeses, pianos, and old school breaks.

current dubstep style is minimal...do what u want tho, if its any good ppl will listen...

firstly, you might want to adjust your tempo 2 around 140, (thats the only guideline in garage music.) you shouldn't worry about doing anything. it's gud to ask questions but dont ask people what you 'should' be doin. do what u want.

there are people doing way less minimalistic stuff.
I'm pushing away from halfstep a bit as I"m spinning to junglist culture moreso than to people who are already into dubstep currently.

Honestly man. Most dubstep really doesn't do it for me. I love the complex grimey shit that's been surfacing lately....

I really love Luke Envoy's work. The edits are smashing and his rhythms are complex.

Also check out the Dirty Deeds EP that Mathhead did on the Terminal Dusk Label. Nasty complicated drum beats with heavy distortion and bass.

Last but not least is Reso...his work is more breaks than anything else lately, but some of his relatively older stuff like 'Metal Slug' is sick. Warping basslines and somewhat realistic but heavily edited drums.

I really didn't like your work man. The drum beats need work and are wayyyyyyyyyy too clean of samples.

Guess it could be said again...do what you like. If that's what you like, and how you write, then who cares if it fits neatly into any category. Personlly I don't like it at all when my stuff fits the wikipedia description of a genre.
