My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Haha! I haven't seen Kris Kross in a long time. MC Hammer and New kids on the Block were pretty big when I was in first grade. I also remember everyone having those super huge MC Hammer pants, and when the teacher wasn't looking we used to jump off the tables and float to the ground like princess toadstool in Mario 2:lol:

Beastie Boys "Check Your Head" was big for us back in '92.
Also, co-sign for anything on Reinforced during that time.
Edit: just re-read the OP. If you are just looking for Jungle/Hardcore, well Jungle wasn't quite formed yet, it was all about the Hardcore. Jungle really started happening in '93 but Reinforced was one of the main labels involved in the transition and you can hear it on their records. They were one of the first labels to move from the more "happy" hardcore sounds and start bringing the darkness and also really started to chop the breaks.
There was also Formation Records and Suburban Base among many others.
