There have been issues going as far back as November 2005 in regards to this member's behavior. It's not like we just woke up one day last week and decided to ban someone. Please keep that in mind.

I dont think anyones dissing the Mods ... I dont wholeheartdly agree, but I support the decision, as I'm sure it wasn't taken lightly ....

... this type of thing is always ugly, however nessacry, I hope we can "police" ourselves a bit better in future, so no-one has to resort to such drastic measures, as I'm sure it werent an enjoyable thing t have to do. btw I think the moderation by panel is a great idea ...

thank you for your comments.

i totally support "no police" attitude!

Moderators panel is not here to be the police but to help on improving this forum; to help you when you need them, to bring new ideas, initiate new projects etc.

Some of his comments made me chuckle especially the persistant comments about digital audio and exclusivity factor of dubplates

the man was a fool! and Im kinda glad he's gone ... yet I have an uneasy feeling about this... but IM sure that there have been other incidents besides the open forum rants and raves of vitriol he spouted on many an occassion.. Its just sad I suppose that people can be such dicks and then be warned that their behaviour is out of line AND yet still continue to be out of line until the only course of action left is to ban em...

yeh it was taken seriously

however you read it, it was consistantly abusive and taunting, which made good threads steer negatively off topic.
thats not representive of the forum or the music discussion it was built for :)

I need evidence!

Post by worldy d » Thu Mar 16, 2006 3:02 am

I'm not convinced. Without enough evidence, I'll be ambivalent about our 'government' here at dubstep forum (no matter how many times they say it was a very careful decision or whatever). It just reminds me of other experiences I've had in communities (virtual and real) when people have been dealt with in a secretive way and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, not knowing what to think of the decision. Its not very democratic. Maybe someone should make a "best(worst) of HSD" collection to show what was goin on.

word. i have been thinking about this a lot to-day. in any gathering of people, when someone is being rude, hateful and such, it's okay to ask them to leave. if they don't , it is okay to push them out.
