LINPLUG OCTOPUS
So i found this new Vst today called Octopus by Linplug. im finding an absolute ton of grimey nasty filthy presets in it but i havent grasped the concept on how to make or tweak any of them. Do any of yall have any ideas on whats whats with this monster vst? i cant even figure out how to link cutoff to the lfo or any simple shit like that...HELP!
Re: LINPLUG OCTOPUS
1> Its like all the other linplug plugins, it has a mod bank linking system...
2> When you payed all that money for it, didnt it come with a manual?
3> Dont judge a synth by its presets. All synths can be as "grime nasty"
as all the rest, learn how to use ONE to its fullest, stop pirating every one in sight.

i wish i was as cool and as helpful as teknicyde. it came in a vst snyth pack. thanks for all your helpfullness.
Re: LINPLUG OCTOPUS
The Octopus is exclusively available as download from LinPlug. It comes with an English, French and German PDF-manual and more than 550 presets by Big!Tone, ProSounds, Summa, The Outsiderz and Tim Conrardy.
The license fee is 129 US$ / 99 Euro
Can't see anything about a VST synth pack? I googled Octopus Synth Pack and every result was a pirate site... Don't hate on teknicyde. The advice he gave u is legit. Get one synth and learn it and definitely start with something simpler then octopus. The first such i learnt on was TAL Bassline. It's free and easy. Linplug have alpha free which is a simplified, entry level gateway into understanding their products. You can get that legally for free and can get some great sounds out of it too.

its fm. draw your wav form in the box on the right and you can edit the phase in the one next to it. the rest is like all rob papen synths

I`m also a big fan of Gladiator.
The unison mode in conjunction with spread and depth settings are awesome.
As well as the HCM synthesis.
