Atom Counter - On The Run (Filthy dubstep for feedback)

Post by atomcounter » Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:26 am

New track made using ableton live 8 and reason 4 rewired in, been producing for a while, was just wondering if anyone thinks much of this? If I should send a few demos out.

Any critisism, feedback suggestions would be much appreciated!

those type of hats I stay away from because they tend to be noisy, it could use a little eq as well as your synths. The first synth of the drop needs eq bad, it blaring out some trebble that it shouldnt be there. You need to find the frequency and lower it. Your second bass sounds much better, your also missing the sub. Dont know what synth your using but you should add a sub manually and write the notes in of the bass so that it rolls nice.
...wanna collab? Im down for new sounds, send me a PM please.

I have a manual sub in there but I can't get the bass to be more prominent without it just overloading, how do I go about it exactly? Do you mean the "yah" wobble? I will eq out the trebble a little thankyou.

Humans can't usually hear below 20Hz, and unless you've got a section to blast out a sub-bass solo organ-rearrangingly loud (think Limit To Your Love), you'd be much better with something around 70-90 Hz. Also, uber repetitive. Changing the "wobble" pattern isn't enough.
I have a friend who plays polka's, scottishes and waltzes.

Ok cheers, I'm redoing it completely, I've also changed the "yak" wob for something a little less ear splitting!

Yeah I will do, I am currently redoing it changing that yak wobble for something a little less ear splitting.

Nice! Some very clean bass sounds in this, what did you use to create those basslines if you don't mind me asking that is ? :)

I use reason to make my wobbles, "thor" with scream 4 distortion. Makes the nicest wobs man! But I rewire it into ableton, cos ableton is TOOOO GOOD! ;-)
