Lol I agree 140 is not dead I keep my BPM around that tempo mark... but I try to go slower at times but the farthest I'll go down with dubstep is 130 and to tell you the truth I'm not really happy with that track sounds too slow and couldn't make it work for myself :(. haha but as they all say, do what you do with what you know.

Ignorance annoys me sometimes.

If you look at the worlds populations OR even at the music enthusiasts in the world only a really small minority has heard of this music style. The scene makes you blind to the whole picture, ask a random group of a few thousand people about this music and they wouldn't even understand what you are talking about. I just said 'no one' because relative to all the other genres it's just about 0 people.

i was only referring to the UK (yeah, i suppose that is arrogant as fuck, but that's my view of it) and i was only reffering to the dubstep "scene" as i thought you were. why would you take anything else into account?

if you take the entire countries population then ask a few thousand people what "dubstep" is they wouldn't understand what you are talking about because a vast majority of them are old ladies sat at bus stops or secretarys grabbing a nando's on their lunch break. this goes for most of the countries in the world as well i would say, dubstep has touched very few considering.

These days old ladies and secretaries listen to dubstep.

Yeah in the dubstep scene the percentage might be a little higher. But I just think it's weird to even talk about 140 (or 70 for that matter) being dead as 90% of the people who listen to what they call dubstep never heard any 130 bits. It's sad but Skrillex alone outnumbers the producers pushing the scene forward by great numbers in terms of 'fans'.

I understand you completely though :)
