for OUR sins? i dont think so he was a brutal dictator who oppressed his people so he could live in luxury while his people could barely afford to feed their families. Re: The Gaddafi Thread™
Partly true, but (and I only use this as an example as the majority of grievances expressed in both the EU and US tend to be in favor of continuing and expanding their socialized/State-subsidized lifestyles) Libya was as close to the utopian welfare State most seem to erroneously desire. There were a significant amount of Gaddafi loyalists outside of the paid armies, many of them women from I could gather looking at various footage throughout the year, which makes sense since they are likely most unsettled by the change in perceived quality of life during and after Gaddafi--its not sexist, just an empirical truth.Zkeeto wrote:for OUR sins? i dont think so he was a brutal dictator who oppressed his people so he could live in luxury while his people could barely afford to feed their families. The real question is what happens after the power struggle begins to at least marginally subside, and when are the afflicted (anti-Gaddafi or loyalist alike) going to start bombing embassies and the like for retribution in France, UK, US, Italy etc... thus giving them the false flag precursor to go to full blown war and occupation? They just created another 'terrorist nation' to get the warhawksm banker front-men and saber-rattlers in the West and Israel wet.
