Freshmore's latest forward-thinking release is a plethora of new sounds. DJ Yayyay, a Texas resident, obviously knows all about the deep subs and rolling drum lines. His collaboration with emcee Droplette which is produced by Arms&Suites is bound to exercise your woofers quite a bit. The 808 drums and pitch gliding strings create a deep and somewhat edgy scenery, while Droplette's voice does what it has to – add to the tune's pimped out attitude.
The track is accompanied by a variety of different remixes, each bringing its own flavour to the equation, keeping the sound fresh throughout the whole release, while maintaining it's balance in check. From Baltimore's DJ Pierre remix to Moondoctor's leg-breaking footwork remix, you'll be on the edge of your seat while listening to this EP.
Cedaa's second appearance on a Freshmore release is as good as his first one, bringing along his recognizable vibe while LDFD delivers a kind of a wonked out take on the original with lot's of rolling hi-hats and interesting synth work.
Moondoctor passes the juke torch to Sliink, who offers another leg displacing joint.
Austin-based Outlaw Producer supplies the final remix of DJ Yayyay's collaboration with Droplette. His playful frisky drums provide the perfect environment for the synths and vocals to shine.
“Micro-Chips” is definitely meant to be a gem among your record collection.
